1980 Hummer H1 Military

This is a very nice for it's age 1985 Am General Humvee model 998 from the military. I bought it through an online auction and picked it up right from White Hall Military Base in Ohio in 2016. They serviced it up till then.

READ THIS CAREFULLY. This Humvee has a clear Ohio title, as in it has no liens, not salvage, that is marked "All Purpose Vehicle - Off Road Use Only"

I have got these titles switched to on-road in the past, but I am not doing it on this one, I am to busy and that is the only reason I am selling this. If you go on the youtube, there are several guys on there who can walk you through the best way to get these titles converted to on-road. I will not do it. Sorry!

This vehicle has the 6.2L Diesel Engine, Automatic Transmission, 4x4 hi and low, 4 Door, Newer Soft Top, Cargo/Troop Carrier Body, 37x12.50 R16.5 Tires, and just had two new batteries installed. Runs and drives great. Top speed is around 55 to 60 mph. Shifts with no problems. There are some body damage areas, which you can see in the pictures. I recommend all buyers coming or sending someone to preview this item before bidding if possible.

The doors windows will need new stitching around them. Some one used staples, which I would recommend removing and having a sewing or canvas shop repair correctly.

This vehicle starts and runs great. I have started it when it was 10 degrees out with no issues, so glow plugs are working fine.
