Stunning, Unspoiled Original 1987 Honda Prelude. 5 Speed Manual Shift.
1987 Honda Prelude
Selling my pristine example of a Classic Honda Premier sports car. “The Honda Prelude.” Low 111k miles and all factory original, rare 5 speed manual and in excellent condition. Its’ history is quite impressive with technically only one driver; which would be the original owner from 1987-2007. Then in 2007 the founder and owner of Manchester Honda purchased the Prelude, where it remained in his personal collection; and often displayed in his Dealership showroom. I purchased it from this dealer making me technically only the 2nd titled owner. The car retains all of it’s original body panels, paint and trim. Never rusted (see rust free undercarriage pics), no dents, and no repairs. Still has the original Honda preservative on the fender wells. The Interior is all original and boasts its’ iconic layout with sport seats that envelope you from all sides. Working Sunroof / Moonroof.
The paint shows great from any distance. Everything works as it should….tachometer, speedometer, odometer, flip up headlights, air conditioning, heat, moonroof / sunroof. The 1.8L CV Dual Carb, 12 Valve engine runs smooth and the rare manual transmission shifts smoothly and responsively. With power steering, 5 speed manual, new brakes and new tires, brings its notorious performance to life.
Car runs and drives great, however, as I parked it for the winters storage, one of the dual carbs started flooding (video available upon request.) Due to the winter months and time, I have not been able to make a diagnosis on why it is flooding. But my assumption is the float is sticking. Possibly just because of the extreme cold. I plan to correct the issue if it does not sell before the weather warms up. Once corrected, I will edit this listing with updated photos, any mileage change and a possible price change accordingly. Therefore, until then, at this time, it can probably be driven a short distance, but I would recommend it be trailered.
