Description Up for sale is a very clean 1992 Honda Beat convertible. Chassis designation PP1. Combining the fun Kei class size, mid engine performance, true sports car look and Honda reliability, it's no wonder this mid engine sports car has become one of the top JDM collector cars on the market. So popular in fact that Honda corporation has decided to begin production of maintenance and replacement parts for this car. vinPP1-1024852
This particular car has been very well maintained and cared for from new. The rare color combo of black exterior with red seats really sets this car off and draws attention at every outing.
The paint shows well, has a great shine and very few age related flaws. The body has been kept nice and it shows. Never any collisions, rust or corrosion. All the exterior trim is very good including the lights and lenses.
The interior is equally as nice with only a small spot of wear on the driver seat bolster as pictured. The dash and other panels are excellent with no cracking or damage. The carpet is clean and looks very nice with the original style zebra print floor mats in place. As you can see the service book and owners manual are intact and included in the sale. The seats are comfortable and look nice with no color fading. The factory radio is intact and works well as do the power windows. The A/C is in perfect working order and cools the car very well.
The mid engine EA07 MTREC I3 Honda three cylinder engine has ITB individual throttle bodies and is just as reliable as you would expect from Honda. The small displacement of 660cc is offset by the ITB set-up and makes a generous amount of torque at lower rpm but really comes alive at the higher rpm. With a redline of 9200 rpm, this car was built to perform. It sounds amazing with the throaty sound coming from the intakes and stock exhaust to keep it fun to drive without the noise. The clutch and transaxle are in good working condition allowing smooth driving through all five speeds. The gearing allows this car to cruise comfortably at highway speeds without excessive noise or engine wear. The four wheel power disc brakes stop this car with the performance you would expect. All the gauges work well and are easy to read with the speedometer of course being in KM rather than miles. With less than 61,000 original miles (98,000 km) this car runs and drives very good.
The top is in very good condition and includes the original Honda top boot cover. The rear plastic window is clear and pliable. The top frame and mechanism is perfect and manually goes up and down with ease.
This car was imported legally through a very reputable Japanese exporter by a private collector and has all the correct documentation. The car will be sold with the clean and clear Florida title.
If you are looking for a Honda classic convertible that is realible, fun to drive and a solid investment, this is the car. Easily serviced, attention getting and still great on gas, it would be hard to "Beat" this little car!
