Description:

1992 Honda Civic Si

I bought this car right here on eBay in 2012. It was completely stock except for a set of wheels and a catback exhaust. I bought it sight unseen, 300+ miles away, and paid $2300 for it. As soon as I got it home I began to build it for SCCA SOLO Autocross. This is literally the most exhilarating car I've ever driven. STIs, EVOs, Corvettes - they won't get your adrenaline pumping when you're chucking it through a corner like this car will. A set of really big grippy tires and a big rear swaybar are all you need to add to experience the lateral Gs and pull-your-face-off braking that this car offers.

Anyway, I've essentially moved on from autocross for health reasons and what's left has to go. I honestly just want to pull the engine and transmission out and sell the shell because the motor and trans are really spectacular. I know I'm going to catch the Honda bug again someday, and these clean swaps will not be around anymore. This swap was exceptionally clean. It literally looked brand new when it arrived on the pallet from HMotors.

The shell needs a front bumper cover because I trimmed it to fit some large tires. It also has a little bit of rust in the quarters, but it's minimal, easily repaired, and the rest of the car is rust free. I can invlude a set of replacement quarter panels that can be used for the repair if the new owner is interested. The chassis, the floors, suspension, etc are all clean, no rust at all. The quarter rust was there when I bought the car in 2012 and has not grown at all. But I don't drive the car in the rain or snow and it is usually garaged, so that may be why. And I've wrenched on this car so much, that nothing is seized or overly greasy.

And nothing is Mickey Moused together, this car isn't a basket case. This car will be a pleasure to work on for the next owner. No headaches here. I'd consider this a mechanically sound car that is in need of some minor to moderate cosmetics to be perfect.

The interior carpet was replaced because the old one was old and had holes in it. It wasn't cut very well from the carpet factory, unfortunately. It's cut a little short under the dash. Its not real noticable but Ive tried to attach pictures of the issue.

And there are probably a few things I forgot to list.

I've tried to describe this car as accurately as possible, but with that said, it is 26 years old and is far from perfect. That being the case, this car is sold as-is where-is. I have been on eBay for over a decade with 100% positive feedback and I've sold several older Hondas and Acuras to happy owners, so please bid with confidence. The car is not perfect but it's a blast to drive and there will be no surprises.
