Now Accepting best offers. Best offer by the time this ad ends gets it. I really DON'T want to sell it, but I won't have the time that it truly needs to fully restore it and I want to see it go to someone that will truly appreciate and take care of it. No offers under $3,250. That's less than what I have invested in it so far. Thank you.

1979 Honda Civic CVCC 5-Door Wagon
- Under 64,000 miles (daily driver)
- Hondamatic (auto) Transmission
- Runs Excellent. Needs a carb adjustment or cleaning.
- Interior is very CLEAN. Dashboard, all switches look practically like new.
- Exterior is 98-99% Rust FREE, Solid Strut Towers, underside very CLEAN.
- Lots of new and newer parts: Tires, brakes, oil, radiator flush, master brake cylinder, etc.
- A very HEAVY DUTY Dutton-Lainson Tow Bar with built-in Hand Winch is included with the sale. The receiver for the tow bar is already mounted to the front frame and the car is ready to be towed now.
"quirks":
1. Door latch mechanism on driver's side door needs a little bead of "weld" applied and filed down so it "grabs" the door properly. The door shuts, but it doesn't completely "latch" the mechanism, so it only closes to the first "click" if you know what I mean.
2. Crack in windshield is creeping up a little higher.
3. Rear hatch lock froze up this week. The back hatch opens and closes as it should, but cannot be locked.
That's all the quirks I know about. Nothing that stops you from getting in and driving this civic across the country. I did exactly THAT with THIS car back in January of this year. (Seattle to Chicago.)
I'm not kidding when I say how PEOPLE literally pull up right along side me on the road all the time to give me the THUMBS UP! I'm driving a "time-capsule" apparently. ;)
IF you are paying by cashiers check, it will be verified during regular business hours and it must clear and the funds be fully available to me before the car is transferred to the new owner. This may take as long as 7 to 10 days (or longer). Paying cash in person is the fastest way to have the car released to you. As buyer, you acknowledge and agree that the $500 deposit officially takes the car off the market and is completely NON-REFUNDABLE.
This car is being sold completely AS-IS with no warranties.
Depending on time of day, I can show the car in Schaumburg, Arlington Heights or Itasca. Calls only please (no texts), this is a land line: 63ZERO,FOR61-34SIXX(2)
I don't answer out-of-state numbers, so leave a detailed message if I don't pick up.
Thank you.
