1973 GMC 1/2 Ton Pickup
As you can see it has all the rust issues of this year. It's due for a total restoration which is why I'm putting it for sale.As I've said earlier in this listing it's a 1973 1/2 ton GMC with a factory installed 454. This was a midyear upgrade for the 1/2 ton.I have done a fare amount of research on this vehicle and there were only 400 to 500 1/2 tons made with a big block454 installed during manufacturing at the factory. I really doubt there is any others left so I believe this to be a very rare pickup. This only has 76,500 original miles on it. It has the Turbo 400 Tranny behind this big power plant of the 70's.I did put an Edelbrock intake manifold on it. I don't think there is any thing you can do to improve gas mileage on this!!I do not believe there to be more than a few if any left with matching numbers original unit and that is why the price is starting out at $5000.00. Yes I would have it restored but I have a wife!! If I can't get that for it I will keep it. It runs as smooth as can be just really lousy fuel mileage.
