1955 GMC SUBURBAN PICKUP- CAMEO

Item location: Kearney, Missouri, United States
Description:
1955 GMC Other
This is the ultra rare cousin of the Chevrolet Cameo. There were only 300 of the GMC versions made from 1955 to 1959, ompared to over 5000 Cameos from 55' to 58'. Originally powered by a 287 Pontiac V-8 mated to a hydramatic. The motor setting in the truck is a 56' V-8,don't know anything about its condition. I believe this truck started out in Texas, purchased it in Phoenix 8 years ago. It was originally Omaha Orange and possibly accented with Seminole Brown. The guy in Phoenix whitewashed it to protect it from the elements. Most all of Suburban/Cameo specific items are there. Spare carrier and rear bumper sections are good but bumper ends need replacing. Front sheet metal, ab and doors are solid. All four rims are correct for the truck. the new reproduction bed sides and bulkheads go with the truck. All of the bones are there to build this 50's GM truck icon. The last few restored versions of these rare GMC's have sold for $40,000 to $60,000......you do the math.I think My reserve is realistic, hen was the last time you saw one of these for sale ??? And what a unique striking color combo, ow !!I'm selling this truck to help fund a shop building project. Please feel free to call or text any questions, ood luck bidding. Bart 816-916-2769
