Exceptional 1979 GMC Sierra Classic 2500HD 4x4 Camper Special refurbished in the early 90's by Winchester Truck in Ritzville WA. Winchester here in the Pacific Northwest was well known as a top quality restorer of 70's GM trucks. Some local Farmers and discerning Owners of square bodied rigs preferred to have Winchester restore their GM truck instead of buying new. A Winchester was/is very prestigious and coveted by high end GM truck collectors. I purchased over 26 years ago shortly after Winchester refurbished with about 50,000 miles showing on odometer as owner did not want Winchester to reset to zero as was often done. This garage queen with some expected patina now shows 96,300 total miles as I regularly drove it for the first few years. The only thing ever hauled is my motorcycles and to help preserve the bed I had a liner sprayed in years ago. Now I would not put a liner in but back then liners were the rage.Warn hubs, PS< PB< tilt wheel<cruise<Factory A/C<updated stock blue cloth interior with mild custom touches.Exterior stock color respray on a rust free body/frame, Lund visor, GMC stock tires/wheels,1 ton suspension with 1 ton brakes. Included in sale is four custom wheels/tires if you prefer a very polished overall look. I did win peoples choice award in a regional truck show.
A collector car appraiser drove it, looked under and all over in 2015 and said he had a buyer at $25,000 less his selling fees. Today the market for nice square bodies is way up from 2015 but I seldom drive it so its time to move this beauty to a new home. Look close at the pictures where these square bodies usually rust... pics will confirm this is a nice stock truck that has lived its whole life pampered.
