Vehicle DetailsWhat you’re looking at is a very rare, and tastefully modified 1992 gmc typhoon.
We will start with the exterior. As you can see the 2-tone paint shines beautifully in the sun light. The 2” steel cowl hood really sets off the looks to be very aggressive and means business. While the paint isn’t perfect, if presents very well, and gets many compliments at local car shows and cruise in’s.
Powering this beast, is a 4.3 V6 with a 62/62 ball bearing turbo. This allows for a very quick spool time! The exhaust is a 3” from turbo, dumped down underneath the truck. The engine also has been modified with a fresh set of vortec heads and intake, to allow much better airflow. The cam has been upgraded to a Steve Morris. Fueling to the engine is done by a new fuel filter, Walbaro 450 pump and 120lb injectors, which have recently been cleaned and bench tested within spec. It does have a larger throttle body, but will come with the original. The intercooler also has a high flow pump to keep the IAT cold as possible. It also has a MSD 2AL box with working 2step to fire the ignition. The complete distributor, plugs and wires have all been recently replaced. All of this is controlled by a turbo tweak chip. There is adjustments that can be made, to make the truck run better, as the chip was an experimental taking with the large injectors. Even though the truck runs great right now, it would benefit switching to a Holley, to get the full potential of power. The truck is currently ran on E85. This could be changed with a reprogram from turbotweak to be changed to 93 if desired. The truck is running safely on 18psi threw a Greddy controller. It’s cooled by two large adjustable electrical fans. The transmission is still the 700r4 which has been rebuilt by a shop in Chicago. The truck still retains awd also! It also has a brand new lithium battery mounted in the passenger fenderwell below the headlight.
The suspension and brakes also have been upgraded. The front suspension has had the torsion bars deleted, and replaced with QA1 adjustable coilovers. The rear has been lowered with 2” blocks and angle kit, and spring style shocks. With these upgrade, the truck handles turns great and rides just as good. Stopping power comes from corvette Z06 front disk breaks, and Fbody rear disk. The prop shaft has also been upgraded to a beefy replacement from sportmachines. The tires are Nitto 245/40/18 on all four corners.
As for the interior, it cleans up just as good as the outside. Seats are firm and comfortable. It does have an upgraded Bluetooth radio with a great sounding stereo. There is a 3 pillar pod setup including oil temp, boost, and fuel pressure. Also mounted on the dash is a scan master to monitor the vitals of the engine. In the glovebox is a wideband to also monitor the air/fuel mixture. The truck will come with a moates cable to plug into a laptop to further more monitor the engine. All the gauges work without any warning lights. The heater blows nice and warm! Glove box lid is not broken like many of these are. Both windows work great and are tinted, power door locks also work.
Overall this is a great typhoon! It’s been very well taken care of and the condition shows that. The truck has no rust and never had rust repair. While this is not a perfect truck, it presents very well and is driven on nice days to shows and cruise ins. It will come with what receipts i do have of work that’s been done.

There is no leaks under the truck. Power steering and brakes flawlessly. This typhoon boost right up and will put you in your seat!
