1957 GMC 150 Napco Pickup Blue 4WD Manual
1957 GMC 150 Napco
Vehicle DetailsThis 1957 GMC 150 is a 3/4-ton long-bed pickup that is finished in blue over black vinyl upholstery and powered by a 347ci V8 linked with a Muncie SM420 four-speed manual transmission and a NAPCO dual-range transfer case. The truck was acquired by the seller in April 2022 and subsequent work is said to have included refreshing the interior as well as installing a Holley carburetor, an electronic ignition, and an electric fuel pump in addition to replacing the fuel tank, rear shocks, differential yoke seals, and brake drums and shoes. Additional equipment includes a steel rear bumper, a diamond-plate bed floor, Warn locking front hubs, and 15″ steel wheels. This GMC NAPCO pickup is now offered with spare parts and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
The truck wears faded blue paint and is equipped with a white-finished front grille and bumpers. Additional exterior details include a diamond-plate bed floor, a rear tow ball, a driver-side mirror, and fender-mounted front turn signals. Flaking, wear, rust, and dents are visible throughout the body, and the cab corners are said to have been replaced along with one of the doors. The windshield, rear glass, and passenger-side window are reported to have been replaced under current ownership along with their respective seals. The seller reports that the windshield wiper motor is disconnected and recommends replacing the door seals.
Black 16” steel wheels show corrosion and are mounted with 315/75 General Grabber A/TX tires. The truck is equipped with Warn manually locking front hubs as well as unassisted four-wheel drum brakes. Work performed under current ownership is said to have included installing Rough Country N3 rear shocks as well as replacing the brake drums and shoes.
The cabin was refreshed under current ownership with work that is said to have included reupholstering the bench seat in black vinyl as well as replacing the glovebox door latch, steering column turn signal wiring, and passenger-door handle and latch assembly. Additional appointments include a white-finished dashboard, two-tone door panels, and interior side steps. There are empty slots in the dashboard, the flooring is worn, and scratches are present around the cabin.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears a corroded GMC-branded center cap and fronts a replacement instrument panel housing a 100-mph speedometer as well as supplementary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The seller notes that the speedometer cable is broken, and the replacement five-digit odometer shows 0 miles. True mileage is unknown.
The 347ci V8 features orange-finished valve covers and breathes through a Holley carburetor and air cleaner that were installed under current ownership. Further work performed following the seller’s acquisition is reported to have included installing an electronic ignition and an electric fuel pump along with replacing the alternator, wiring harness, and fuel tank. The seller notes that the heater components require servicing and recommends adjusting the carburetor.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a Muncie SM420 four-speed manual transmission and a NAPCO dual-range transfer case. The transmission features a power take-off port, though it is not currently connected to any auxiliary components. The front and rear differential yoke seals are said to have been replaced under current ownership.
