1970 GMC 1500

1970 GMC SWB (LQ4 T72 Turbobuild) (Dependable ready to drive)

Truck was purchased new in 1970 @ Searcy Arkansas and was driven by the original owner until I purchased it in 2017. She started out an original 350/350 combo with approximately 87,000 miles.

I have built many RestoMod/ProTouring vehicles and decided this one would be mine. I have found another vehicle I’d like to build and have decided to let the truck go. To see our car build feedback skip back to the 64 Chevelle, Mustang drag car or any other car we built and sold on Ebay. These folks are still happy with the purchase and call from time to time. Some of our customers have even said (Better than expected).

Since the build I have driven the truck 4200 miles and it has been a blast. We left the exterior as is since it was in such good shape. Was told by the original owner the truck has had only one repaint.

The rear is a factory 12 bolt with an aftermarket Detroit locker. Custom driveshaft by Kegs in Jonesboro Ar. Engine is a 2004 LQ4 6.0 LS Fuel Injected built for boost. Fuel is delivered by a rear tank mounted under the bed with an in-tank Stealth 340 pump. The original cap is still on the side of the truck with a block off plate inside (no tank inside cab).

Brakes are new on all 4 corners. Tires were new and have 4200 on them as well. Transmission is a built 4L70E speed with overdrive. LS6 accessories were installed along with the LS6intake. Custom hidden harness and 2002LS1 Ecu control this setup. Dual fans, one comes on at temp and keeps the truck running cool and the other will come on when the Vintage Air is turned on. All lights and electrical work as should. Hot heat and Cold air.

This setup is built to run 93 pump gas and runs on 9Lbs of boost with the current T72 turbo setup. Tuning is conservative/safe and made 502 HP on the dyno. Gauges are Dakota Digital and all work perfectly. Truck holds great oil pressure and is very dependable. Stereo is an Aftermarket GMC Digital vintage stereo with aux cord in glovebox to listen to your music on any digital device. 5 speaker 500W system including 12”sub (all hidden very well). Engine is quite with a good growl when you want to have some fun. Truck is clean, but does a few small scratches and slight fading in small areas. Zero rust issues, I have not found any areas.

I have had this truck on a 150 mile trip and the best mileage as of date is 20. Truck drives great at any speed and is the best of both worlds in my opinion. I know there is a lot I have missed describing the GMC, any questions just send me a message. The pics should speak all the words needed, truck has won awards locally. I really hate to see this one go, but I will need the revenue for the new build.

Will not sell to parties outside the USA. Buyer to arrange all shipping and we will assist the transporter loading the vehicle. Truck and title will only be released when payment has cleared.
