1949 GMC FC 102

GMC can trace its roots back to 1902, that is almost 120 years of truck building history. Although today GMC and Chevrolet share a similar mechanical platform and some say cosmetic, GMC still holds the advancements near to their camp. GMC still has never produced a car and is considered still a light/medium/heavy duty only truck manufacturer. That is if you buy that the newer cross overs or small SUV's are trucks.. But, in 1949 GMC built trucks and this absolutely stunning example will be hard to replicate if you are in the market. This FC model truck has been owned by its seller since 1995 with a meticulous nut and bolt restoration, finally being completed in 2017. It has covered just about 250 miles since that time and shows fantastic and drives even nicer after its break in period. Some of the hard to find NOS factory accessories include engine oil filter, fuel filter, oil bath air filter, right hand taillight, right hand sun visor, arm rests, heater and spare tire lock. The truck had a no expense spared re-paint in original Narva Green paint. The engine was completely rebuilt with hardened valve seats. Has the original tools, jack, jack handle and lug wrench in its original bag. The truck was restored with many GM NOS parts. This truck starts, runs, shifts and brakes perfectly. The truck is fitted with farm (painted) bumpers and original style AG rear tires. All the window and door seals are new as is literally everything on this truck. I cant say enough about it and the pictures don't even do it justice. If you are a collector of vintage trucks, a weekend show junkie or someone that just wants the best 49 GMC FC 102 to call their own then this is the one you are looking for.
