Description:

1951 GMC 100

1951 GMC 1/2 Ton Longbed Model 102. GMC made a 1/2 ton long bed, Chevy did not.
Completely restored over 20 years ago and only gone 1500 Miles since.
This was a rust free original truck when restoration began in the mid 80's. NO Rust ever, not one pinhole.
I have a 2" thick folder with restoration notes and receipts for everything done. Most was professionally done and it shows.
The truck has just enough Patina now that you would not be afraid to drive it and use it. The body is super straight and quality was very good. From 5 ft it loos new, but does have chips in the paint, a few scratches and old lacquer blisters here and there. I would say it still looks fantastic and the pictures show it.
It is as clean underneath as it is on top.
Accessories include, Deluxe fresh Air heater with defrost, Early Style Factory Hood Ornament, Radio.
The brakes were redone completely in 2007, and work perfect. Front end rebuilt and nice and tight.
I have owned many of these trucks and this is one of the nicest drivers I have had. It is still 6 volt, fires right up, runs and idles perfect. I would say mechanically the truck needs nothing. It could be driven home anywhere.
The tires are new tread but 20 years old, that's about the only negative. Spare is matching and still under the bed.
228 GMC Motor, 3 speed on the column.100% mechanical rebuild.
Gauges and horn work. Original radio is present but makes no noise.
I will let the photos speak for the truck. I can only ad 24 pictures here, But have more if you want to see them, or something specific.
I have Clear CA title in long term owners Name, Still registered to the 51 GMC California plates. I have the release on those, if new owner is in CA it can stay with these plates. Current reg till next year. Titled to Engine number (all CA trucks were before 1955)
I also have the factory overload rear springs and original carb in a box. Includes manuals and all receipts showing history from the 1980's, including a couple before photos.
I can store for 90 days while transportation arrangements are made. Can be shipped anywhere (or driven). I can have delivered to the Port of Los Angeles/ Long Beach for $375 and Oakland/ Richmond Ports for $250.
