This auction is for a 1988 GMC K1500 Sierra SLE 4X4 standard cab 8' bed. It has 102115 original miles, we are the second owner's and have owned it for 23 years. It needs a lot of work and is being sold for parts or repair. It has never been off road, plowed with or worked hard. The body has cab corner, door, rocker and bed rust. The frame has a lot of surface rust and the left rear lower shock mount is broken. It has no brakes and the gas tank leaks if you put ten gallons or so in it. The drive train is fine including the four wheel drive. It has recent complete exhaust from engine to tailpipe, a recent starter and a battery, It starts right up and moves fine. The tires hold air, but should be replaced. The interior is in excellent clean condition, except for a drooping headliner, with nothing broken, torn or cracked. It has never been smoked in. With the exception of the right side power window and the shift indicator, everything works including the air conditioning. At this time, this is everything we know about the truck, good or bad. It runs and rides well and could still be a good truck if someone is willing to do the work. It comes with 4 good original rallye wheels, and there is an absolutely rust free 8' bed available from a friend for $800. If you would like to see the truck before bidding, let us know.
