Here's an opportunity to own a rare truck that runs as good as it looks. This gentle giant is always ready to go, it's very predicable, starts very easily and carries a nice quiet exhaust note as it moves along.
Extremely dependable by design these trucks were not built with economics in mind they were built to last, it's hard vulcanized rubber tires are still in good shape along with everything else. The hand built solid oak deck was built by a true craftsman has allowed many different things to be carried, it has nice forged d-rings to tie off to, and the well constructed deck along with this truck's 7000 load capacity rating will handle just about anything you would want to put on it. The bed even has the old cat eye marble reflectors on top.
This truck has a working 12v lights that all work from battery power. It's been upgraded with a modern style radiator and shrouding installed to allow it to parade or cruise slowly without overheating. We have enjoyed many of slow moving parades in this truck with no problems. The GMC L-Head 413 CID four cylinder starts easily and runs like a top no smoke no leaks, the brakes work great, it's just a good design. The truck also comes with its original 60 plus page manual which is a time travel to page thru and amazing it exists at all, plus it's in great shape.
We have enjoyed many years of use with this truck and life and health changes have pushed me into down sizing. It's a truck that anyone that encounters carries a smile. I think it would be best suited for parades, or an advertising piece,or a statement in a nice collection or museum, it shows well. I'm available to talk with interested parties regarding it. Some important details to know, this truck is factory rated at 22mph, it is hand start only but has a ring gear, and starter port,the instruments on the dash are not currently working. It's worth mentioning this truck starts very easy, and is very reliable.
