1970 GMC C10 --

This super clean and beautiful C-10 has connections that span several decades. It was born in 1970, the year the band Deep Purple hit the scene in a big way, just like this Deep Purple on Black truck did. It has a powerful beat you can hear in the exhaust from the current tech, heavy metal members of the band like the crank, cam and pistons, and while Chevy didn't use the phrase and the song until 20 years later,...this truck is solid Like a Rock. Can you hear the music? Then come on down and check out this sweet C-10. This generation of Chevy truck has been popular since they were introduced, and are collectible today for some of the very same reasons. They are good looking, nice driving, comfortable trucks. For a custom look, add in a little bit of creativity along with a whole bunch of blood, sweat and tears, and you can end up with what you see here. The paint is simple in design but sophisticated in the prep and execution with a subtle pin stripe straddling the dividing line between the Deep Purple and the Black. The grill and trim around it are completely blacked out and there isn't a single badge anywhere on this truck to disturb the clean look. Even the taillights have been shaved and moved discreetly into the black rear bumper. There are only a couple splashes of flash with the front bumper, door handles and mirrors the only chrome. A bit of chassis rake gives it an aggressive stance and helps make the truck look solid like a rock. Open the door and you will find an interior that follows the simple and clean theme established on the body. The door panel is deep purple top and bottom with a light gray door panel of vertical stitching. The steering wheel is a three-spoke billet unit wrapped in black with the shifter for the automatic transmission and a column mounted tachometer clearly visible directly in front of the driver. The stock arrangement of the dash panel includes the speedo on the left, fuel gauge on the right with battery, water temp and oil pressure gauges across the bottom. A Pioneer FM/CD player is mounted in the center of the dash for your listening pleasure and there is a late model console with a nice amount of storage and cup holders on the floor between the seats. Those are comfortable high back buckets with pleated light gray seating surfaces and smooth black vinyl surrounds. Black carpeting ties the look together nicely and heavy-duty vinyl floormats help protect it. Open the hood and you will meet the band that pumps out those sweet sounds. It is 350 cubic inches of V8 muscle nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. Unlike the rest of the truck there is plenty of flash here. A chrome air filter feeds a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake. Polished valve covers look great and the alternator, water pump and pulleys are all chromed. A Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps things running cool and headers get the spent gases out to Flowmaster mufflers and stainless-steel exhaust tips. Power flows back through a 3-speed automatic transmission to a 12-bolt rear end. The truck has been lowered both front and rear for a great look and 4-wheel disc brakes from CPP provide plenty of stopping power if you decide to let those horses run. The rubber meets the road through 275/45R20s in the back and 245/45R20s in the front mounted on Coys alloy wheels. Great looking, great running, and great sounding. Do you hear the music? Then come on down and check this truck out.
