1964 GMC Suburban Carryall Wagon

1964 GMC Suburban

This is a very nice and always RUST FREE GMC suburban carryall wagon. It was built in Oakland California and sold to a person in Roseville California. I have the original owners protection plan booklet to prove it. No rust repairs have been done at all. The underside is as dry as a bone. 62,300 original miles. Also have original owners manual.
Exterior: Original color was a tan / brown color. Thepaint is very shinny and in pretty good shape. Better than driver quality, but not show quality. Expect some minor flaws due to driving it. The chrome is all originaland driver quality. There are some nicks, small dents, etc, but no pitting at all. The widows all work as they should. The side sliding glass still have the original locks on them. ( a real rarity) The tail gate works as it should. All locks work.
Driveline: Original 306 Cu Inch V-6. Runs like a top. 3 speed column shift manual transmission. Shift linkage could usesome new bushings but it shifts OK as is. Original heavy duty rear end withprobably 4:11 gearsjudging by how it drives on the highway. I'd say top comfortable highway speed is 65 - 70 MPH. It has lowering springs.
Interior: The original second andthird seats are in great shape. The front seats are leather and drivers is power. They are very comfortable. Truck comes with the original split frontseats but they need to be recovered.
Options: Power steering and brakes. It has dealer installed under the dash A/C which I still have all of the pieces for. I suppose it could be re-installed and changed over to 134Arefrigerant? Nice in dashStereo.
Wheels: Thosewheels and tires are 22inch GM Escaladetransport wheels that have been modified to accept those reproduction GMC dog dish hub caps. It comes with 4 original steel wheels and various other parts including a new centerdash section.
Basically, you could put this vehicle back to all originalwith theparts I have or make it into a rat rod, hot rod, street rod, low rider, custom, gasser, or whatever you want.
All in all, this is a very cool ride that you can just turn the key and go with. Finding one of these that is, and always has been, totally rust free is almost impossible.
