I'm selling my Dad's beautiful 1947 GMC Medium Duty Flatbed truck. It underwent a complete ground up restoration in 1993 and has been stored under covered parking. It was only driven around the neighborhood and to several car shows since restoration. His work was meticulous and he made his living working as an airline machinist for many years. Equipped with a 270, inline 6 cylinder rebuilt engine, 4 speed transmission AND 2 speed axle with high or low, so you can easily increase your speed. Converted to a 12 volt electrical system, to power the Waltco Lift Gate on rear. Odometer reads 42,429 miles. The truck was originally from the Sacramento foothills area. It features the original working heater with large GMC emblem. The bottom bench seat cover was replaced but the back cover is original, with patches. Engine starts right up and runs like a charm. New wood was installed on the flatbed in 1993 and new stake sides were built for all around or remove them as you wish. This was what GM called an Advance Design Truck, which came out in June, 1947, after WW2. There are a few scrapes to the paint of the flatbed frame. Otherwise, it will take very little to bring this classic truck up to show condition. Ready to use and drive today. Has dual wheels in back, 750/20 tires and spare.
