Description:

1989 GMC Sierra 3500 Sierra

Up for bids is 1989 GMC V3500 crew cab 4x4 dually pickup with 6.2 diesel and 4 speed manual.

This pickup started off its life as a 2wd R3500 with a fuel injected 454. When I bought this pickup it was just the body and frame. I took the bed and cab off and started from the ground up. I found a donor K30 that was 4x4, "z" cut the frame 16" behind the front cab mount and spliced the two frames together. Making the truck a V3500 model. Went thru all components, rebuilding them. Only component that hasn't been touched is the 6.2 diesel.

Components in the truck are:

Dana 60 Front axle with 3.73 ratio.

Dana 70HD Rear axle, open differential with 3.73 ratio.

SM465 4 speed with NP205 Transfer case, equipped with twin stick.

6.2 "J" code diesel from Military pickup with 60,000 miles

New dual 20 gallon fuel tanks.

B&W turn over ball gooseneck hutch.

Air bag overloads on rear axle with leveling valves and onboard air compressor.

4" lift.

New power steering, crossover steering.

Interior replaced from a 1990 Suburban in great shape.

New carpet, headliner redone.

6 Copper ST 285/75/R16 with about 300 miles on them.

Well taken care of, done some light towing but mostly driven empty. Not a professional restoration, just fixed up good to have a reliable old truck to drive around. Fuel economy has been around 12-15mpg. Original paint. Speedometer replaced at time of overhauling of truck. Miles on odometer are since March 2015. Engine had roughly 60,000 miles on it going into the truck. Body had about 75,000 miles on it. Only rust is about an 1" hole on both cab corners. Rocker panels and floor are solid.

Clear Nebraska title.

Any questions just ask.

Thanks for looking!
