1978 GMC CK1500 Sierra Truck 4wd Regular Cab

Description:

1978 GMC Sierra 1500

Up for sale is a 1978 GMC Sierra K1500. The truck has had a recent frame off paint and restoration (not to stock). This isn't a show truck (the paint has at least two runs in it that I've seen), but is in very nice shape.

The truck starts with no issues and it runs well. The engine was rebuilt and has a few mild performance items dropped in (cam, intake, etc.). It has a brand new rough country suspension and mud tires with less than 400 miles on them.

The truck is full time 4 wheel drive and is NOT going to be a good choice for a commuter vehicle. It is a loud and fun truck for a gear head that appreciates big trucks. Video URL if the embedded video doesn't work ( https://youtu.be/P_KIfJpG9R0 ).

Pros:

-Painted inside and out recently with new fenders and floors installed.

-Has a louvered tailgate with the handle reversed to the inside, fully functional.

-New tires.

-Runs great.

-New rubber floor lining.

-New lights/light assemblies, both front and rear.

-New rear glass with sliding windows installed.

-Wheels, mirrors, front bumper, grill, steering column, and inner fenders all paint matched in a gunmetal gray.

-It's loud and it’s tall.

Cons:

-It's loud and it’s tall.

-There is no radio or speaker system in the truck.

-The seat is in bad shape cosmetically. It still feels comfortable and has a seat cover over it.

-The speedometer has a new cable installed and is hooked up, but it isn't very accurate. It could probably be adjusted, I just haven't messed with it.

-It is geared pretty low, so at speeds over 60mph the truck is tached pretty high.

-As mentioned above, it isn't a show truck and the paint has a couple of runs. You do have to look pretty hard to see those.

-When the body work was done the gas door was shaved and the intent was to put a fill neck in the bed, I haven’t gotten around to that yet. So you currently have to fill the truck by reaching up in the fenderwell.

I put the price at 8k with a best offer option. If you've got a reasonable offer, make it. I do require a deposit from the winner within 48 hours of $500. I don’t offer delivery, but will assist with loading if required. The truck will not leave my garage if full payment hasn’t been made through a certified cashier’s check or cash.

If I’ve left anything out or you have further questions, by all means send me a message.
