Description:
1951 GMC 1.5 Ton
I purchased this truck from the Herold Lemay estate auction years ago. This was stored indoors most of its life and appears to be used during harvest seasons based on the pencil writings on the door jam with dates and mileage. It came out of Idaho based on the inspection sticker on the window. I had this running a few years ago. I had replaced the fuel pump, new radiator, water pump and rebuilt carb. I started it up last fall and check the oil to discover there is water in the oil now. It is the original 228 motor. I have the original radiator and parts that I have pulled off. The wood is still in good shape for its age. The paint under the hood is near mint and it is original. I am down sizing and dont want to see it sit. this could be a fun project. No cancer or rust easy project and it has not been abused or sitting in a farmers field for 50 years in the weeds. There is a small dent in the upper outer grill where is says GMCMel
