Up for sale, through an interesting set of circumstances, is this beautiful little 2-door Yukon Sport. I'll start off by saying that I have only owned this a relatively short time. After searching high and low, then high and low some more, for just the right 2-door Yukon, I found this one. It was quite some time that I spent searching. Probably same old story many of you have gone through... what looked good in the ad, and sounded great on the phone, lead to one disappointing trip after another. I guess we've all been there. When I found this one, I was skeptical at 1st, waited a few weeks because I got tired of being disappointed, but eventually curiosity got the best of me. I made a commitment and the journey to go get it. When I arrived, it wasn't quite what I had expected. I thought it might be nice, but... It had far exceeded anything I could've imagined. What joy and relief.
So now, you're probably wondering why I'm selling a vehicle that I obviously hold in such high regard. I thought that the perfect personal vehicle for the wintertime would be a 2-door, 4wd Yukon. I wanted it for when I have somewhere to go alone in the wintertime, without the family. A nice little vehicle for just me. We have summer and winter family vehicles. And, well... It certainly would have been a good little sporty SUV. Thing is... I never expected it to be this nice. Once I got it home, and looked at it closer, I was even happier than when I first saw it but, the more I looked at it, the more I saw what a shame it would be to use in the winter. I decided there's just no way I could drive it in the snow. I'm sure it would have worked good (3.73:1 gears and factory positraction) BUT... It's far too good and nice for that. I wrestled with the idea for a while but, in the end, I bought a crewcab 4wd truck. Not the ideal sporty SUV I had in mind but, no guilt either. :-/
I feel that this Yukon is in spectacular condition and am confident it will make somebody with the highest standards very happy. Normally I downplay the condition of everything I have placed for sale but, I'll tell you ... Based on my own experiences, this has got to be amongst the nicest anyone can expect to find. There's no corrosion, absolutely none... zip, zero, zilch, nada. Certainly none for a semi-classic vehicle; it's truly remarkable. Beyond that, there's not even the beginning formations of any. Please look closely at the pictures. The paint on the undercarriage is shiny and clean. In addition to the appearance, it runs so well, and drives so nice. Pictures don't really do justice here. I'd never expected that a mid-'90's SUV would have gotten so many compliments.
As mentioned, this Yukon Sport is from Arizona. It was built for the U.S., and has only been here in Calgary Alberta briefly. An elderly lady from Arizona was the original owner. She kept it parked indoors. There's no rust, like you'd see from the north-eastern states, and no sun damage, like you'd see from the hot dry states. Amazingly, it's got the best of all worlds.
While trying to figure out what to do with my too-nice-to-use Yukon, my 82 year old Father decided he rather liked it. He came along with me for the drive when I bought it. I think he was impressed by the compliments it got, other people's reactions, and really took a liking to it. I suppose the more he looked at it, the more it grew on him. It's really a sharp looking little rig. Anyways, he told me that his just-like-new condition, ultra-low-mileage '95 Suburban was a little too big for just him and my Mom. It was also becoming a chore to park. He said that the Yukon would be perfect for them. That was his rationale. I thought it was pretty funny. That evening, I spoke it over with my wife. Next day, we delivered the Yukon to them as a gift. I was happy it found a purpose within our family. If I can't find it within myself to use, certainly my elderly parents can enjoy it. Giving it to them made me happy. Then, after 1 day of driving it, he decided that he no longer wanted it. He said it was too "jumpy and bouncy". I suppose it was too short wheelbase for him. Anyhow, I'll cut to the chase.... Point is, here is a genuine, bonafide, vehicle that I'd give to my own family, and actually have! How often does something like this come up for sale?!?!?
In total, I've driven the Yukon probably less than 150 miles in total. I took it to be thoroughly detailed, shampooed, and polished. Also, the rims have been changed but, it comes with the correct factory wheels. Only other thing was that I had it inspected. And, that's about it. Once, I drove our son to school in it, and once for gas (maybe the same day - can't quite recall). I think probably in the single day that my Dad drove it, he used it as much as I did. LOL
I'd like a fair auction, and this vehicle to go to an appreciative new home. Top dollar is never my objective. I may or may not get my money back but, that's okay. It's just the way it goes, and I don't mind. I'd rather have a happy and enjoyable transaction (once again, please see my feedback). I would encourage anyone to come view in person and invite any 3rd party appraisals. Please review the photos carefully. I am not a professional salesman or photographer but, have tried my best.

I really dislike being judgemental but, I've only had 1 zero-feedback buyer follow through (Thanks Brian!!! Keep enjoying that awesome Jeep and keep sending me awesome texts. I hope your happy feedback serves as a great rub-in-the-face to the 4 guys before you that didn't follow through). To date, I've dealt with nearly a dozen zero-feedback auction winners that haven't followed through; all with amazing and elaborate stories/excuses.... Well, that's the ones that bothered responding. The rest didn't even have the courage to reply. I guess cowardice often comes with lack of conscience for others.
My feedback is an excellent resource.
I have a darned good record of making people happy so far, and have absolutely no intent on tarnishing that reputation.
