One owner 1950 GMC 150

1950 GMC 150

1950 GMC 150. I bought this truck from a lady who her and her husband bought new in 1950. She said truck had less than 30,000 original miles on it, I can not confirm. The truck was last licensed in 1986. The clutch is froze to the pressure plate, brakes go to the floor. I cleaned the gas tank, dropped the carb in cleaner and it fired up . The body is solid and straight, floor pans are solid, all original parts are still on it. The factory markings can still be seen on the firewall. She said her husband had it sprayed in the late 60s the original red because it sat in the driveway and had sun damage from the Florida sun. There is some surface rust on the roof where their cat slept but its not bad and will sand out with little effort.

I bought this truck to restore myself but I am still playing with race cars and don't see that ending anytime soon.The truck has been sitting in my barn for around 5 years.This is great truck to restore as you have no rust issues, chasing parts and a good running engine original to the truck.
