You are looking at a 1994 GEO TRACKER - TWO WHEEL DRIVE MODEL. We are the 4th owners and this car has either in been in Georgia or South Carolina since it was new. This was a daily driver until last week when we purchased a new vehicle. However, this car does have issues and will need some work so please read my description carefully.
This vehicle will need a timing belt and water pump at the very least, those are the reasons this vehicle was taken out of service. It starts and runs and can be driven around the block on a test drive but it leaks coolant. The transmission seems to run through the gears as it should. The 1.6 L motor doesn't have a ton of power but that is just the way these vehicles are. It does leak/use oil, probably coming from the oil pan. It could use new brakes, tires, and a new top. The current top keeps it dry on the inside but it does have several holes in it and zippers don't work in the back. You can flip up the sunroof portion. It does have some rust underneath and some surface rust in areas. It has some body damage as can be seen in the photos, some on the hood, and both sides of the front fender areas. The windshield wipers work, as do the headlights, and turn signals. There are no electrical problems that I have noticed in the 3 years since we have had it. The check engine light has been on since it was purchased 3 years ago. Door handles work but locks don't. All glass in intact with no chips, and the windows roll down with a hand crank. The AC compressor is there and blows air, but it does not blow cold and will need to be repaired, it last worked about a year ago.
In my opinion, this vehicle would not make a good first car for someone because it needs work and attention, so unless you are mechanic or someone who is looking to fix a car up like this, then this is probably not the car for you. The good thing is these cars are pretty sought after so if it was fixed up, they sell for pretty good money and seem to hold their value. This vehicle will need to be trailered/towed if you are taking it a far distance away, it can not be driven more than a few miles until repairs are made.
