1966 Ford Mustang
Up for bids is this 1966 ford mustang fastback. I have sold a lot of mustangs in the past but this is by far the nicest one I have had and done. I did a lot of extra stuff to this car to make it nice as possible. It was recently restored. Let me start off by saying this car is very very nice and would probably cause a few wrecks from people looking at you while going down the road but it is not perfect. I try to be as perfect and do everything good as I can but as always there are a few thing here and there that could of been better but it turned out very nice. These old fastback mustangs are going up in value every day. They are getting harder and harder to find. You can get a brand new body for around $16,000 but thats just the hull so if you want one ready to drive here it is. I started out with this car basically as a rusted out hull that was in need of alot of work. Thats about all you can find to start with these days. I will go over everything I did on the car. On the body work we replaced the radiator support, attery apron, attery box, loor pans, enders, oors, ood, oof skin, ower rear quarters, aillight panel, runk lid, ront and rear valance, umper brackets, nd areas of the trunk floor. All the rust was cut out and repaired. There is some filler in the car to fill in some of the seams where the welds were made but there is no filler to fill in any rust holes. We cut all of the rust out of this car. The fenders, oors, ood, runk lid, nd lower quarters are all original ford used ford parts that were taken off other cars. I think that about covers the body panels. The paint job turned out nice. It shines like a mirror. There are a few blemishes that are on it that are not really noticable but they are there. I would give the paint an 8 out of 10 just because I want to clerify its really really nice but not perfect. The body lines fit good but a few of them are not perfect which means something might not line up just perfect but its real close. To someone who has never messed with old cars would probably not notice anything I am talking about but I am pretty picky myself so I see everything. The bumpers are new. The exhaust trumpets are new. The trim around the doors and glass are original. All the glass except for the windshield is original. All the front and back window gaskets are new. The door felts, oor gaskets, runk gasket, irewall gasket, ood bumpers, re all new. The interior is new. Here is a list of what all is new on the interior. Carpet, ash pad, eat covers, oor panels, rm rest, nstrument cluster cover, ood grain steering wheel, ear view mirror, eadliner, un visors, un visor rods, ubber around headliner, ick panels, eal plates, nd seat belts. They are all new. The interior is very nice. All the under dash lights and dash lights work. As for the motor and transmission and all the mechanical stuff. The whole brake system is new. Every line, heel, aster cylinder is all new. The fuel system is all new. The gas tank sending unit, uel pump, nd carburator is all new. The starter, lternator, oil, tarter silonoid is all new. The heater box was completely rebuilt with all new hardware. The radio is new. The motor was purchased from a gentleman who had it completely rebuilt and didn't use but a few months. He decided to go with a stroker motor and pulled it out. The motor is suppose to have around 300 miles on it. The transmission was pulled out of a 66 convertilbe the a guy did a 5 speed change over on so the transmission is a good working transmission. The belt and radiator is new. All the hoses are new. All the transmission lines are new. The exhaust is new from front to back. This is something I did that took alot of work but was well worth the headache. I put a complete brand new wiring harness in it from front to back. I found a exact reproduction of the original wiring harness which cost about $800 but was worth every penny of it because I have every light, linker, auge, nd the horn working on it. It is very hard to find a car that everything works on it but this one does. Thats a big plus in my opinion. The front end was completely rebuilt. It has new shocks on it. It has new motor mounts and a transmission mount. It has a nice set of chrome wheels and white letter tires on it. I restored this car to sell so I have driven it around my local town but have not taken it out on a long road trip. It drives good and handles good. I think that about tells everything that was done to it. There has been many hours spent on this car. This would be a really fun car to cruise in or just have alot of fun. I guess as far as what it needs on these old mustangs there is always something else to do or most of the time something to work on. When you start driving it there could possibly be some adjusting or fine tuning to be done on it. Like it sits there really isn't much more that you could do to it. As for payment and pickup the car is located in Jonesboro Louisiana. I will require full payment be made within seven days of the end of auction unless other arrangements are made ahead of time. I will accept cash in person, ertified bank check, r bank wire transfer. I will have to confirm any bank checks or money orders before I will accept them. I am sorry for being so cautious but there are scams everywhere these days. I can store until you can pick it up but prefer its picked up as soon as possible. Please have all your money in place before bidding. Serious bidders only. If you have questions, eed more pictures or anything else just let me know. I have alot of money and hours in this car. It took alot of work to get to this point. If you need to talk to me my number is 318-278-1069. I will sell this car to other countries as well. I have sold several over seas so as long as you can wire me the money and arrange the shipping you can get it. Again if you need anything or have any questions just let me now.Vehicle Details:
