Take a look at this GORGEOUS !! - 1951 Ford Custom Two Door Sedan. I purchased this car from a local couple who rarely drove it and kept it in the garage when not in use. It is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - IDAHO CAR !! Since I have owned it, it is only driven in nice weather, babied and always kept in my garage when not in use. This RARE American piece of automotive history is a BLAST to drive and gets a thumbs up or an interested looker just about anywhere you take it. I don't know how many times someone has come up to me and said, "wow, I haven't seen one of those for years". Seems like most of these Ford "Shoe Box" cars have been customized or altered in some way or another. This one was restored with originality in mind and is pretty much how it was back in 1951. Come take a look at this Ford "Shoe Box" Coupe for yourself you won't be disappointed. At the heart of this BEAUTY is what appears to be the FACTORY ORIGINAL - Ford "FLAT HEAD V8" - 239 CI eight-cylinder motor that is running VERY WELL ! The motor still retains a factory style Holley 94 carburetor with manual choke, custom chrome air cleaner housing/breather, factory original intake manifold and factory original exhaust manifolds. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - FORD - O - MATIC - automatic transmission that also functions well. This was the first year for the Ford automatic transmission which is fairly RARE as most of them had three speed manual transmissions.The light and dark brown and tan interior is NICE !! I believe the upholstery; door panels and headliner used in the restoration is a wool fabric restoration kit that copies the factory original interior, sold several years ago by LeBaron Bonney interiors. As you can see in three of the pictures a 1951 Ford owner's manual, genuine Ford accessories pamphlet, 1951 Ford Magic-Air pamphlet, 1951 Ford specifications book and a Ford rear axle diagnosis and adjustment book are included. The Sportsmans Green is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! as you can clearly see in the pictures. This car is nicely equipped including a color matched exterior visor, color matched fender shields, interior Magic Air System, front AND REAR wing windows and Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. Runs and drives GREAT... starts right up.I used to be in the classic car business but now am retired. This car was hand-picked by me and is coming out of my personal collection.
