“This stunning 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe was completely restored in 1998. During the restoration, virtually every moving part in the chassis systems was meticulously removed, replaced, or restored to ensure peak performance. The current owner acquired the car shortly after this extensive work was completed, and it has since been cherished as a show car, always covered and stored with care. Under the hood lies a rebuilt original 289 cubic inch high-performance engine, expertly crafted by JRs Racing in Billings, MT. The engine features a .030 bore, Competition Cams Magnum 280/.512 camshaft, Speedpro forged 10:1 pistons, and a host of high-quality components, including stainless steel valves and a three-angle valve job. Power is delivered through a C-4 automatic transmission equipped with a 10 TCI Street/Strip converter, headers, and custom turbo mufflers, making for an exhilarating driving experience. The rear end features a 2.80:1 differential, and the car is equipped with a three-row radiator for efficient cooling. Recent maintenance has kept it in top shape, including a tune-up, new fan pulley and belt, a new battery, and a new radiator. The Mustang boasts a striking vintage burgundy exterior finished in PPG Base-Coat and Clear-Coat, complemented by a sleek black Pony interior with black appointments.
