1957 Ford Thunderbird

The car is registered as a 1957 Thunderbird. THIS IS A PROJECT CAR. It sat for a long while. Ive only driven it up and down my driveway. Engine and transmission appear to be working OK but I have not driven it on the road due to not having brakes. Will need some repairs to make it a great car. The low mileage is certified to be accurate.This is an example of the upscale factory built 1957 Thunderbird by Dofral Industries. These cars were sold turn-key by Dofral until 1985. The running gear depended on the buyers choic, this one has full frame rail, disc brakes, rear axle and front suspension from I believe a full sized Thunderbird ( the rear axle code comes back to 1969 Tbird. The steering is Mustang II rack and pinion. as is the steering column. I converted from the factory installed power brakes to manual brakes, I installed a new master brake cylinder but realized the proportioning valve shuttle valve is stuck, you will need to replace the PV in order to bleed the brakes. I will include the take off brake booster so you can have it rebuilt or buy a new one. The 302 engine has 1973 casting numbers. Comes with the original fan shroud and HD fan. The amp meter doesnt work, Ill include a brand new SW gauge with the car, the horn doesnt work havent checked to see why.The car features red leather bucket seats, floor console with emergency brake on the floor, the removable hard top with portholes, OEM front and rear bumpers, good carpets, wood grain steering wheel, the dash pad is not cracked but has some curling on the outer edges. I removed the A/C as I was pretty old and I was just going to use the heater. The A/C take-off parts comes with the car. Also included are two new defroster ducts for the das, the heater box was removed and cleaned and ready to re-install. The window lifts dont work so I bought a new power window kit from Old Relics which comes with the car. These cars all had lexan side and rear windows. I was going to have my auto glass shop use the old windows as a pattern to cut new glass windows for the doors.This car has 4 brand reconditioned rims and new tires with zero miles on them., a running 302 with new battery, new ignition module, new distributor, new Edelbrock intake manifold and carb, Comes with a new still-in-the box power window kit from Nu-Relics. The paint is 10 footer, no visible cracked fiberglass, the bumpers are good for a daily driver. I have not checked the charging system, the headlights come on and the turn signals work, the PO replaced the windshield with an Thunderbird windshield..This is a project car, I'm 80 and the reality is its too much for me, I cant wiggle around anymore like I used to. my loss is your gain. Selling way below my costs. Does NOT come with the wire hub caps in the pictures.
