1968 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible, 302, automatic, custom interior

This is a 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible that a buddy asked me to list. He doesn't have time for the car due to having to help his son. The car has a 302 V-8 engine, C-4 automatic transmission and power steering. Car runs and drives well. The interior has been redone by a previous owner with bucket seats in a custom red and white. Dash pad is in nice shape with new red carpet, door panels and aftermarket seat belts. The top is in great shape and is power and there is a top boot. The car has custom chrome wheels. Engine has a four barrel carburetor and some aftermarket dress-up pieces. The dual exhaust has performance mufflers. Body has been painted white and is straight with some blemishes that are noted in the description with the photos of the car below including some underside pictures. Car runs and drives well. Convertible top is white and power.

Fairlane has air shocks on the back.

Dual exhaust has turn down tips.

Front tires are 225X60X15 and rears are 275X60X15

Wheels are chrome with chrome caps

Chrome is original and still in presentable shape - grill is nice with no damage

Back-up lights work - car is in really good shape

Interior has been redone - dash pad is nice, real wood steering wheel has a couple of cracks

Previous owner installed the bucket seats and had them recovered in red and white vinyl - we don't know what vehicle they are from

Red Carpet is fairly new and the red seat belts are aftermarket

Dash pad has no cracking and the radio has been replaced

Gas gauge doesn't work but the tank was replaced by a previous owner

Clock works sometimes

Aftermarket stereo plays - it is AM/FM/Cassette

Glove box

Owner made and installed the metal trim - armrests are new - note emblem covering the hole from an adjustable mirror that used to be on the car - also note when the car was painted the data tag was painted over

Passenger door panel

Engine is a 302 V-8 that runs well

Engine has Edelbrock valve covers, stainless hoses, Holley four barrel, HEI distributor - note original sticker on firewall

Carburetor has an electric choke that sits on a Ford aluminum intake

Brakes work fine

Power steering

New battery

Spare and tire changing tools including jack and adaptor owner made so jack fits both bumpers

Nice grill - note original bumper with very little wear

You can see some paint chips on the passenger side of the hood - hood is now aligned - there is a crack in the hood peak and on the passenger side an impression from the hinge

Doors open and close properly - owner replaced a hinge on driver side

VIN on dash matches VIN on title: 8=1968, H=built at Lorain, Ohio, 36=Fairlane convertible, F=302 engine

This is a set of door weather stripping new in the wrapper that cost $143 - owner didn't have time to install
