Vehicle Details

This is my 1977 Mustang Cobra II. This car has 100189 miles on it. I am not the original owner so my information is anecdotal. I purchased the car in 2021 from the previous owner who had it the previous 12 years. The car has had a paint respray in that time with the gold stripes painted on as opposed to stickers. It has a few minor imperfections and two rust spots starting to form on each fender, both are repairable. Every piece of interior plastic was removed and restored by dying the plastic back to original black. The carpet and old insulation was all removed, the floor boards were cleaned and painted with both a rust protection paint and semi gloss black with new sound and heat matt put in. The old 75 amp alternator was swapped for a 1 wire 125 and I also added a breaker fuse.

Within the last year the car has had:

New fuel tank

New brakes

New master cylinder

New brake booster

New aluminum Edelbrock performer heads

New aluminum Edelbrock performer intake

New Edelbrock hardened pushrods

New stainless steel roller rocker arms

New aluminum radiator

New pullies

New alternator

New carpet

New boom matting

New exhaust

New plugs

New power steering pump

New 185 degree thermostat

New chrome thermostat housing

New Toyo Tires

15 inch wheels

Car is garage kept and has a clean Utah title but not perfect. It spent a lot of life in the Ohio area.

Here is the list of fixes I would make if I were keeping the car.

Fuel return line leaks when tank is full

Front suspension needs work, I will include a full set of new tubular control arms and new drop spindles.***

Not absolutely needed but I have a brand new power steering rack and pinion system which is included.***

The Edelbrock 1406 carb needs a rebuild.

The undercarriage had some surface rust that I have been slowly repairing. Passenger side is nearly complete. There wasn't any holes or anything I couldn't repair.

The intake currently needs to have a new gasket put on. This I may get to myself. The old valve cover bolts, 2 were over torqued and broke off. I had one repaired by having it drilled out and the head retapped. The second one is on top and doesn't create an issue so I didn't mess with it.

Sometimes the speedometer cable comes in attached. (This I may get to)

In the pictures you will see the small 1 inch bumper moldings in some and not others. It was damaged, I removed it to replace with new ones which I have not done.

This car turns heads like you wouldn't believe. I've owned multiple mustangs, some first gens and fox bodies. This car beats them all with looks and questions. The II went from hated to beloved.
