Description:

1972 Ford LTD

It is a RARE 1 of 1 car, according to the Marti Report (Which comes with the car). The car runs and drives exceptionally well. The body frame, floors and trunk are solid. Everything works except the windshield wipers, radio, and horn. And, even though the A/C was retrofitted, the system has a slow leak and needs another shot of R134. The car is a factory A/C convertible. 400 cid/2bbl carb, C-6 auto trans, power front seat, courtesy light group, power top w/glass back window, power steering and power front disc brakes.
I will try to get the exact miles off of the odometer. The original owner told me that they are ACTUAL/ORIGINAL miles. I believe him because there is hardly any wear on the seats (only 1 very small split), and the brake and gas pedals have very little wear. He said that when the car was about 6 years old, he backed into a curb and chipped the paint on the lower rear valance on the passenger side. That chip allowed it to rust. but, it appears to be the only flaw in the body.
I found and bought this car in August of 2020. It was a one-owner car, so I am only the 2nd owner. The original owner was a retired lawyer. He bought this car in December of 1972. It was his first big purchase after he graduated from law school. He always kept it in his garage and never put the top up. This, unfortunately, destroyed the fabric of the top. So, he replaced the top in 2019, but changed the color of the top from black to white.
The motor has the following new parts: Oil pan, oil pump, oil pick-up screen and tube, water pump, timing chain and gears, lifters, push rods, all new gaskets, all new belts, new heater and radiator hoses, and a complete tune-up as well as new filters and fluids. The A/C compressor was locked up. So, in case there was any metal shavings from the frozen compressor inside the A/C system, I got as many new A/C components as I could find. I replaced the compressor, condenser, and the evaporator core. The only parts that I could not find were the expansion tank and the rubber A/C lines. Also, while we were replacing the evaporator core, I put in a new heater core in since we were already up under the dash. The A/C system was also retro-fitted to the newer R-134 refrigerant and charged up with refridgerant. The A/C works, but has a slow leak, soyou have to re-charge the R-134 about once a year. The car is appraised and insured for $16,500. But, I am letting the car go for what I have in to it.
I have a clean and clear Pennsylvania Antique Vehicle title in mine and my wife's name. This car is a running, registered, andinsured car.

Although this car is in great shape, it is, after all, a 52 year old car. So... You are buying it AS IS/WHERE IS, with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. Transport/shipping of the car is the buyers responsibility. Transfer of title, and all transfer fees and taxes are also the buyers responsibility. If you pick up the car in person, we will first go to the local notary and have the title notarized with your name as the buyer. (This protects me, in case you do something stupid with the car). So... If you pick the car up in person, it has to be Monday through Friday before 3 P.M. Eastern time, or on a Saturday before 12 noon, Eastern time.

I require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $200.00 within 48 hours of the auction end, or the use of the "Buy It Now" option. This will cover my E-Bay fees, in case you never come for the car and I have to re-list it. I accept CashApp and Venmo for the deposit.

I require FULL PAYMENT for the car within 5 days of the auction end, or the use of the"Buy It Now" option.

If you do not send a deposit, or respond within 5 days, the car will be re-listed, and you will be reported to E-Bay.

I will gladly work with your shipper. The car can stay here as long as 15 days, as long as it is PAID IN-FULL, while you make arrangements to pick it up, or ship it.

I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY, AS THE CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY.

I AM OPEN TO TRADES, SO LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GOT!!!!!

EDITS TO LISTING:
1) My wife misreadthe mileage on the car when I asked her to look at it for me. The odometer reads 19K, not 59K. Although the original owner told me that they are original miles, and I kinda believe him because of the very little amount of wear to the seats, carpets, and pedals. But, you should assume that it is 119K, just in case.
2) I have been getting questions as to whether the motor has had a complete rebuild.... The answer is NO. It hasn't. Although the Engine got a MAJOR refresh, with lots of new parts, the cam has never been out, the heads have never been off, and the rotating assembly (crank, connecting rods, pistons) have never been touched.
3) In addition to the new parts that I have listed, I forgot to type that I also changed the points and condenser in the distributor to a PETRONIX electronic ignition setup for easier starting.
