1993 Ford Mustang Convertible Black RWD Manual GT
1993 Ford Mustang GT
It’s discount sales time of year. For sale, a 1993 Mustang GT convertible. It only has 65k miles on it. I’ve owned the car since 2011, buying it with 56K miles on it. It is originally a southern car that was imported into Canada, where I bought it. As a result of its time in canada, the milage on the carfax looks a little screwy, apparently it doesn’t like milage being converted to KMs and back. There are some great things about this car, and there are some quirks. The runs brilliantly, so the quirks are areas that a little work here and there for the project minded person. First the great things. - it is a blast to drive. - with lowered springs, a 5 lug conversion, the style bar, and saleen wing, the stance of the car is beautiful. - the computer and wiring harness have been replaced with Holley’s Terminator X efi system. This self learning system really makes the power plant significantly more responsive, plus it has a lot of potential enhancements. - as part of this update, all the restrictive 90’s emissions power robbing accessories have been removed. - other additions, bbk shortie headers, MDS ignition system, bbk fuel rails. Now the quirks - with the terminatorX conversion, the intention was always to upgrade the instrument cluster to a Dakota Digital panel. As a result not all the gauges currently work, the speedometer and Fuel gauge, the rest of the information (and significantly more) is all available on the TerminatorX display panel. - there is no radio. All the wiring is there. And a purchased a new panel for the radio, but I love the way the car sounds, so never installed it. - the complete HVAC system has been removed. I still have the blower motor. It’s a convertible that I only drive on spectator days, so there was no reason for it. - finally the biggest issue, the transmission should probably be given some love. First, Second and Fifth are like butter, Third and Fourth, can be a challenge. Given the way I drive the car (i just cruse in it, i never drive it hard) it was never a concern for me. My typical shift pattern is first, second, fifth anyways. But depending what you want to do with a car, it might be worth addressing at some point. I don’t want to part with this, it’s my baby, and part of my life for a long time, but I have too many projects on the go, plus with changing life priorities, it’s time to purge the projects and distractions.
