1963 FORD FAIRLANE 2 DOOR POST - A LIFETIME ARIZONA CAR WITH ORIGINAL PAINT!
This base model has drum brakes (They all had 4 wheel brakes in 1963) manual steering, heater and tinted glass.This car has few options but has been pampered its entire life. Mechanically this car is solid and safe, it does need tires from sitting. The car does get used monthly to keep the fluids moving. Thousands have been spent to get the car in this condition, never mind the BRAND NEW INTERIOR.
The interior has been treated to a bucket seat makeover using all 1963 parts to keep it original as possible. It took all of 8 years to find all the needed parts required to assemble this car as you see it now. The padded dash is near perfect, the materials used were the best available to make this beauty shine.There are no parts missing from the change over to bucket seats - it was a ton of work
The body is solid, but does have a couple small dents, (see photos) The car runs and drives as it should- the choke works as it should. The engine has been tuned with Pertronix parts for better starting and longer engine life. There is a lifetime washable air filter included and a working smog set up, although that was not mandatory for registering the car.
I found a used air conditioning unit for the car, it is mostly complete but needs to be installed and small parts are missing. This will be included in the sale if the new owner would like to use it. It 's the center style that hangs from the dash inside the car. The used system is clean and has been stored inside.
Please ask any questions you might have, I can no longer drive my beauty due to a broken back. This is the reason for selling the car. I have owned this car for almost 2 decades.
This is a 6 cylinder car with an automatic 2 speed transmission, drum brakes and manual steering, but it is still fun to drive with the radial tires and brand new gas charged shocks all around.The 14 inch wheels are from the 1967 to 1972 rally wheel optioned cars.These have the original center caps and trim rings, they are date coded to 1968 Torinos, Fairlanes, Galaxies, etc.
