Description:

1956 Ford F-100

This beautiful 1956 F100 show truck was originally built as a dragster. The previous owner entered it into multiple car show and received a number of trophies for it. It has since had a number of upgrades completed which will be outlined below.

The differential on a Ford 9" rear end ca easily be swapped out if one wanted a standard differential.Rear tires: Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro 29" x 15.5" x 15" LTFront tires: Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro 26" x 7.5" x 15" LTRims are Weld polished aluminum (also included are a pair of rear street tires mounted on wheels)Electrically actuated flip nose operated by switch or remote controlElectrically actuated power cowl ventElectric fuel pump with filter mounted at rear frame; Poly Fuel cell (baffled) mounted below bedCustom leather interior with Audio power seatsNew retro sound AM/FM stereo with lighted speakers2013 Lincoln console with Ford f150 gear selectorCustom cherry wood bed with battery mounted in bed and polished aluminum fuel filler doorAll steel construction except front and rear roll pansPower front disc brakes / rear drum brakes with adjustable proportioner valveMarch performance serpentine with power steering, AC, and electric water pump
Recent upgrades include:New Champion Pro-series 3-row all aluminum radiatorElectric fan shroud with 2 electric fansNew AC compressor, condenser, accumulator, evaporator, hoses, etc (134A) - blows coldNew Thermostat housing and gasket / stainless radiator flex hose / fittingsNew electric actuators for power tilt hoodNew Optima Red batteryNew brake pads / shoes, front calipers, rear wheel cylindersNew High-torque startedNew Retro-sound AM/FM stereo
NOTE: This 460 big block has domed pistons and is a High Compression racing engine — 200 psi. It was not designed for street use. Due to high compression, engine will be difficult to start when hot, even with a high-torque starter.
There are 2 known issues with the truck: 1) a small scrape on the side of the driver's running board (see included photo)2) it is believed that the camshaft has a flat lobe at #7 cylinder as valve travel is not as expected. As a result, while the engine runs well, it will eventually overheat due to cylinder #7 not firing correctly.
Since buyer may wish to 'downgrade' the engine to normal specifications rather than continue use as a dragster, we have determined to leave this repair to the buyer.
Reserve significantly over 30% below asking price....so bid with confidence. This truck is a head-turner - it is absolutely gorgeous.
