1979 Ford Mustang Pace Car
This is a 1979 Ford Mustang factory Pace Car. The production was approximately 10,000 cars, however, something like 2,200 came from the factory with the 302 and SROD 4-speed (which this car has).
Vehicle Details
The title is in my name, clean Utah title. I’ve included several pictures of the engine compartment and undercarriage so a potential buyer has a good idea of the condition of the car.
I only see surface rust on the majority of the car, with the exception of the doors, which appear to have developed rust behind the factory belt molding. There are also pin holes around the factory sunroof.
The former owner had taken the car apart and probably realized they’re in over their head. The intake manifold, carb, block, factory heads, and crank are present. The rods and pistons are missing, the exhaust is missing, the exhaust manifolds are missing.
The seats were gone prior to my ownership, along with the TRX “metric” wheels. “Late Model Restoration” does offer a reproduction TRX wheel in a much more common 16” diameter.
There are several parts that come with the car, from taillights to the air dam, the factory fog light bracket and lights (lenses are broken).
