Ford Mustang 1967 fastback with luxury interior
1967 Ford Mustang
Engine289 4VItem description from the sellerThis is a very nice 1967 Mustang project car. The guy who had the car passed away and I was able to buy it but not at a steal by any means. He had owned the car and it was in his garage since the early 80s. He actually found an original 1967 Shelby in the junk yard and he bought the trunk lid, tail light panel, side scoops and quarter ext and put them on this car. The Shelby was hit in the front so he didnt get any Shelby front end pieces for the car. The floor boards are as solid as a rock, many years ago he put some type of undercoating on the bottom and it still doesnt look too bad. This car only has one torque box on the drivers side which was very common on the 67 Mustang. All frame rails are rust free, the frame rail extensions under the seats have been jacked on so they will need to be replaced or repaired. I have just cut the bottom off of them and hammered them out and welded them back on which was easy to do. On the rear quarter extensions he I think fiberglassed them to the rear quarters. This car is very solid and rust free except for a little rust on the bottom of both rear quarters which I took a picture of. The one side must have been that way for many years because when he fiberglassed the quarter extension you can see some fiberglass over part of that also. I sold this to one of my potential customers and he wanted the car to look like the first picture, which I thought looked really nice and since the car was an original Dark Moss Green car I put the picture in the ad. The data plate is 63B fasback with Luxury interior, color is Y Dark Moss Green, Trim 6G Ivy Gold Luxury buckets, built 13A Jan 13th, Axle A 3.00:1 locking diff, Trans 5 4 speed manual. The interior was an Ivy gold but he either dyed or put in some different colors because a lot of the interior is tan but the door panels are still Ivy gold. This car has a Tach in here which I dont know if it came from the Shelby or if this was an original Tach car. It had no front seats when I bought it so these are some good cores that are in there. Also you can see the carpet is the wrong color. We just put the interior back in so that you could see that it was all there. The side door glass and many other parts I took a picture of. There is no engine or transmission, someone is going to make this into a Bullit or Eleonor or a restomod so that doesnt really manner. These wheels dont go with the car but I will have some rollers that will hold air to go with the car. The engine compartment looks extremely nice, zero rust in the usual places and it is a satin black and looks to be excellent under the hood. The vin shows through on the fender just like its suppose to and the original vin tag is on the door. There is no rust on the bottoms of the doors they are extremely nice doors and can be used on any priced range project. It has a very nice 9 inch rear end with the pumpkin still in it which is likely the original parts to the car. I took the best pictures I could of the bottom and there is really nothing to see because there is no rust on the bottom of the car. When I brought the car back I went to the DMV to change over the title and USPS lost the title coming to me so I had to go down and get a duplicate that is why it says duplicate on the title. I can take any pictures if someone contacts me and asks me to. This is an awesome project and I want someone to get exactly what they are expecting so please ask questions and I will let you know. Thanks Kevin Manley 612-275-8722 If someone needs the car shipped I will deliver for 40 dollars an hour plus fuel and expenses. I try to keep it as low as I can because I have to charge both directions because Im not a hauler so I am coming back empty. If its just a few states away its a good deal but if its a long drive like California then you are better off finding a regular hauler. If you want to figure out the cost the car is at 1223 4th St S Cannon Falls Mn 55009.
