This 1936 Ford pickup is finished in black over brown and tan and is powered by a 276ci flathead V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The truck was purchased by the seller in April 2020, and a refurbishment completed under prior ownership included installing a 1951 Mercury flathead V8 with Offenhauser heads, repainting the body, reupholstering the interior, refreshing the suspension, and replacing the glass. Equipment includes 14″ and 15″ American Racing wheels, a Currie 9″ rear end with a 3.70:1 ratio, power brakes, chrome bumpers, Stewart Warner gauges, and a banjo-style steering wheel.
The 276ci flathead V8 was reportedly sourced from a 1951 Mercury and features Offenhauser cylinder heads, an aluminum 2-duece intake manifold, adjustable lifters, and a Mallory electronic distributor. Additional features include ceramic coated headers, a Griffin aluminum radiator, electric cooling fans, and a 12-volt electrical system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg Warner five-speed manual transmission and Currie 9″ rear end with a 3.70:1 ratio.
