1938 Ford Coupe

1938 Ford 85 Coupe 2 Door- Original I am helping my father sell this beautiful original classic with 25,417 actual miles. The car was originally purchased in Knoxville, Tennessee. The original owner, A.N. Bishop purchased the car July 30, 1938. He paid $729.10 and traded in a 1934 Sedan and was allowed $275.00 leaving a balance of $454.10. He paid $214.10 and financed $240.00 for six monthly payments of $40.00 with no interest. When he passed away, his widow, Ruth, donated the car to the Boys Club of Knoxville to raffle as a fund raiser. The car was purchased by a Private Collector who cared for it for many years and loved the car's original condition. My father liked the history of this survivor and purchased the car to add to his collection. He has since retired and it’s time for the next caregiver to take over. The car is laser straight, the original paint is not perfect in some areas but, overall, the paint has held up well for an 85-year-old car that has spent its life indoors. The car starts right up and drives good but, the 1938 type brakes require caution. (They are in good condition but not very effective compared to today's standards) The interior is in great condition as it has been covered in a clear vinyl/plastic. The Ford has the old reliable flat head V8 with 3 speed on the floor transmission. Great car and a great price. Included documentation: Original sales invoice, original owner’s manual for the 85 horsepower V8 engine, original Ford Reference Book, the winning raffle ticket, letter from the private collector detailing the heartwarming history of this 1938 beautiful survivor. Thank you for your consideration, please do not bid if you have feedback of less than +10 unless we communicate first. Feel free to ask questions, my father and I will do our best to get you an answer quickly.
