1984 Ford Mustang SVO

Up for sale is my 1984 Mustang SVO. I purchased this carAugust 2022 from the third owner. It currently shows 61,736 on the odometer.After doing extensive research back to the original owner, it is believed to be161,736 actual miles on the car. I have information on the 3 previous ownersalong with notes taken while talking to the original owner who had the car from4/1985 to 9/2019. Lots of documents and parts. Some original and some new. Extraset of SVO wheels with no tires mounted. The car is reliable and a blast todrive. I’ve enjoyed driving it and restoring it back to as stock as possiblewith just a few upgrades. The original shifter, seat belts, console lid, shocksand headrests go with the car. The only rust I’ve found is at the lower rearquarter panels on both sides. The A/C blows cold. The power door locks do notwork.

The workI’ve done since purchase in 2022:

· Exhaust was loose at the manifold.Cleaned up the threads and re-installed

· Changed fluids

· Adjusted clutch

· Adjusted steering linkage to centersteering wheel

· Re-glued headliner in place

· Cleaned carpet and tried to repairleather seats as best as possible

· Replaced the rear hatch lock stud andlift supports

· Replaced the original front seatbelts with new

· Replaced the visor rods

· Replaced the pedal covers, all new

· Replaced the torn center console lidwith new

· Replaced all the dash and rearlightbulbs with LED

· Replaced the front sway bar mainsupport bushings and end links with new Prothane

· Added a manual boost valve fromGillis

· Replaced sparkplugs, wires and cap.Plugs gapped at .028”

· Replaced throttle cable

· Replaced missing hood insulation pushpins

· Replaced positive battery cable

· Added the Bi-Wing supports

· Made a new fuel cap strap, can’t finda replacement!

· Purchased the Cert of Authenticityfrom Ford

· Purchased the book, The MachineSpeaks for Itself by David LaRocque

· Replaced dash lights with LED’s

· Changed the turn signal flasher to adigital flasher

· Replaced the low pressure switch onthe A/C accumulator

· Replaced shifter with Hurst closeratio

· New fuel pressure regulator

· New PCV valve

· Replaced various vacuum lines

· New rubber hose couplers onintercooler

· Set timing at 12* BTDC, Spoutdisconnected to set

· After much searching, found a nearmint condition rear cargo cover from an 84 SVO

· Bought 5 NOS lugnuts. Placed thelocking lugnuts and key in spare tire area

· Clay bar entire car and ceramic coatadded

· Added Motorcraft radiator cap

· Covered positive battery terminalwith a rubber cap

· Purchased the coil pack plastic cover

· Replaced front struts and rear shockswith original type Koni’s from LMR. Set at full soft

Fabricated the dual tip exhaust out ofaluminized steel. Had it chromed in Omaha, NE by Industrial Plating Co. andreplaced the existing single tip with the chromed part
