HERE IS THE STORY,
We all know SOLID 3/4 TON F-250s are hard to find,Well here is your chance TO OWN ONE! ...a straight 100% solid Survivor!
This 1978 Ford F 250 is a Survivor from the Deserts of UTAH AND COLORADO This is a original DRY Classic.
The truck is here in Coloradoand is ready to roll. Driven daily as a local shop truck, very dependable. Has older tires, 265x65x16" Radials M&S, Oil changed, filters changed, fluidsall checked. New CARB The truck has 100% solid floors and all braces are all rust free and solid. Frame is perfect also. The only rust out was on the top of the outer rear wheel arches, where they all get it. this was cut out and replaced with metal replacement panels. only a 10"x 4" section on each side. a small 2" x 4" on the lower curved section a 2"x 2" on the passenger side. The rest of the truck is 100% solid ...and the truck is now without rust, as any was cut out. Everything is original and original to the truck from new metal wise.
All doors, windows, vent windows, operate nice & easy. All the locks and handles all work and have been lubed. The glass is very good for the age, front windshield is Brand NEW!. The stainless trim is very good also and the chrome is all good, driver quality. HEADLIGHTS and Front BINKERS MARKERS AND THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS all function great. New high beam switch.
The Original 400 cu in FORD ENGINE runs great, has a NEW CARB. Starts with a touch of the key, one/two pump. Shifts great, goes down the road true at all speeds. NOTE: Needs new radial Tires due to age and sidewall cracks.
2nd Owner from 1988-2008 a great mechanic, that has now passed away, it then sat in the garage for 20+ years. The Original Engine is strong, runs & idles good, and the Manual 4 speed shifts fine and the clutch is good. E-brake cable is good. Dual Tanks operate great and are both good, rear tank has bad gas in it, needs to be drained. All functions work, heat, wipers, radio am fm older stereo, new modern door speakers, horn, dash lights, overhead lights all work good. cut outs on door panels were for the older speakers the old owner had cut in (sad to say it was done.)
A great 3/4 Ton Ford F250 just waiting for new paint? and it then can be a $21,000+ truck easy!!!
