1941 Ford Coupe

This is the very desirable SHORT door coupe. I got this car as a partial trade on my Corvette that I sold. It is a well built street rod. It has power brakes with disc brakes on the front on a drilled and 4" dropped axle with spit wishbones. Engine and transmission are SBC 350/350. Has hugger headers with new dual exhaust with some type of Flow masters mufflers. 57 Olds rear on parallel leaf springs and lowering blocks. Has Lokar shifter, and IDIDIT steering column and Vega steering box. New radiator and trans cooler with electric fan and louvered shroud. All glass and rubber seals are in excellent condition. Head lights have signal lights in them and all work as they should as do the tail lights and brake lights. It was a California car with ZERO rust! (still has UCLA decal on rear window). I drive this car to local car shows, so it is licensed, insured and titled in my name.Car also comes with front and rear bumpers and brackets.
The bad.....Paint looks very nice and shiny metallic Maroon, but not perfect. Has some runs and flaws. Could possibly be sanded and buffed. The hood was shaved and decked, but they used bondo to fill the two halves and it is starting to crack. There is NO bono anywhere else in the car.
I just installed new hood springs and hinges because the springs were missing. Now the hood needs to be adjusted. Closes and latches, but needs minor adjusting.
The interior has been covered in heat/sound deadening material, but still needs complete upholstery.
Contact me for any questions. Car is located on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. Shipping will be buyers responsibility.
NOTE: Im not sure what all has been done to the engine, but it runs great, burns NO oil and is fast. I took the valve covers off and it is very clean inside and has roller rockers (see photo). The timing chain has also been replace with timing GEARS. Sounds like it has a blower!
Some of the photo's show tan bucket seats. They were way too large so I replaced them with the original style black and white bench seat.
This car is also listed for sale locally and may sell before auction ends.
