Proud to display an exceptional example of an all original Foxbody 5.0 Liter Mustang. One of 522 Bright Calypso (PM color code) 1991 LX Hatchback 5.0 Liters. 56550 original miles, original paint, original interior, original Ford pony wheels, no accidents, clean Carfax, clean title. This vehicle lived its first 45000 miles in sunny dry Monterey California before relocating to the northeast in 2014 where it’s been garage kept and meticulously cared for. 2 tiny paint blemishes on top of driver fender (size of ball point pen), and black molding around car has few fade marks. Otherwise the paint is breathtaking for an original paint car. Driver and passenger doors open and close with ease. Rear hatch opens with ease and stays up. Interior is flawless, power door locks function perfect, power windows up and down perfect, AC blows cold air on hot days. Seats are in excellent condition, no broken seat frames, no tears or stains. Carpet, dash, door panels, and headliner are flawless. Interior smells clean and new. Ash tray cover and armrest open and close properly. Undercarriage of the car is in excellent condition, no rust on any parts of floor, shock towers, bottom of doors, or hatch. Shiny calypso paint under trunk carpet, with original spare tire, jack, arm bar, and pony cap removal tool. All numbers matching throughout the car, unpainted VIN stickers on all doors, hatch, front and rear bumpers, rear quarters, front fenders and hood. All original under the hood, original ford exhaust from front to back.
Car has always driven beautifully, recent service and repairs has taken it to a new level. Literally drives like it did off the showroom floor in 1991 Engine starts right up, idles beautiful with a nice exhaust note (for factory exhaust). Pulls hard, shifts nice, and drives perfectly straight. You can leave your hands off the wheel and will drive straight for miles. A true cruiser, such a pleasure to drive, tons of thumbs up, horn honks, and endless compliments at stop lights and gas stations. This thing is a real head turner!
These original paint, all original Foxbody’s are very hard to come by in this exceptionally rare condition. This thing is a 1991 time capsule. Recent maintenance completed on 6/29/2023 with receipts include;- New set of four tires Continental ExtremeContact, DWS 06 Plus SL, 225/55ZR-16, mounted, balanced, and installed.- Wheel alignment, includes thrust angle adjustment, adjusted both camber angle and front toe angles.- Driver door lock actuator replacement, OEM retaining rivet used.- Removed and replaced fuel filter and line retaining clips using ford motorcraft part.- Rear differential oil change and friction modifier and gasket replacement, prepped primed and painted cover.- New motorcraft OEM spark plugs and wires.- Engine oil and ford racing filter replacement.- Oil level sensor replacement.- Broken trailing shoe replaced, rear brakes cleaned and adjusted to proper tolerance.- Removed and replaced brake fluid from master cylinder valve. Proper fluid level and hydraulic brake performance test performed.- Engine coolant replaced from radiator and coolant reservoir. Reservoir and level sensor cleaned of coolant residue. Bled system of air and topped off coolant level.- Front wheel bearings tightened to proper specs, new cotter pins installed.- Removed and replaced engine air filter with HiPo K&N filter.- New vacuum routing sticker at factory specified location.- New factory spec wiper blade assemblies- Air silencer assembly foam replaced.- New idle control valve,- Replaced broken hood prop rod clip.
