Vehicle DetailsThis is my 1988 Ford Foxbody Mustang 5.0 LX Hatchback 5spd with 37,600 miles. I'm the 3rd owner and bought the car in 2019 when it had 35,500 original miles.

I wanted to restore it and modify it, but also keep that old-school sound and vibe. It originally had a red exterior and the first owner did a few minor mods like Flowmasters and a cowl hood. The second owner put on the 17" pony wheels, restored the seats & weatherstripping, and installed new struts.
I brought it to a Mustang specialist shop to have all the other work done to it in the summer of 2019, and this is also when I had it painted Bright Silver Metallic. I can send the invoice from Mustang Magic upon request that shows the breakdown of all the parts they added or replaced, the final bill was $13k not including the paint.
The main upgrade was the Trick Flow top-end kit, which includes the cylinder heads, camshaft and intake manifold. They also installed MAC long-tube ceramic headers, a MAC pro chamber mid-pipe, and Flowmaster american thunder cat-back (Super 44 mufflers). Then they installed a custom chip and did a dyno tune for 93 octane, with it putting down 310 hp and 312 torque at the wheels.
Various other updates were also made in the engine bay, these are all listed on the invoice. I also had them install 3.73 gears which pairs nicely with the mods that were done. Steeda lowering springs and caster/camber plates were also installed. New Sumitomo tires were installed at the same time, 245 in front and 275 in back. The car has only been driven ~2,000 miles under my ownership.
This Foxbody is super clean, sounds amazing and drives mint. Everything works, the A/C blows cold, heat blows hot, gauges all move, there's no weird noises, you don't have to do anything but drive it and turn heads.
The ONLY minor issue with the car is a slow oil leak from the rear main seal. This is a common occurrence with Foxbodys, it's just a $15 o-ring that needs to be replaced but the transmission needs to be dropped to access it. I was quoted $950 for the labor from the Mustang specialist shop and was told it's not urgent. Besides that there's only a few small chips in the paint, everything else is excellent.
