1929 Ford Model A Roadster

I purchased this car because of the lineage andthe fact that it is almost completely original. When I went to look at the car, the grandson whowas selling it for his grandmother explained thathis grandfather had purchased the car fromCharles Perrell’s family. Mr. Perrell originallypurchased the car from Joseph L. Doan Ford inPhiladelphia on June 17, 1929 for $692.00. I havea copy of his Title from 1929 as well as theOwner’s Card, a Receipt from the Ford Agencyfrom June 7, 1929 for his deposit of $125.00 andthe bill of sale from June 17th . I also have two tireguarantees from Lee Tire in Conshohocken from1937. Along with the car is the original jack andhandle lug wrench/crank handle and with it asmall pouch of hand tools showing the mark ofFORD in the casting. I also have the originalInstruction Book, we now call them Owner’smanuals, plus a few assorted small car booksfrom many years back. The number on theengine matches the serial number of the carindicating that it is the original engine. His wifesaid that after he purchased it, the car wasalways garaged when he was not driving it. Hetook ill and the car remained in his garage forseveral years. After his passing the family finallyput it up for sale.
On September 16, 1999 (Name will be disclosed to high bidder to protect the family's privacy) ofBridgewater NJ purchased the car from the
Perrell family. He brought it back to NJ, got itrunning and did whatever was necessary to bringit back to the condition it is today. In 2018 Mr.(Name will be disclosed to high bidder to protect the family's privacy) passed away and I purchased the carfrom his wife. There was a new battery, waterpump, oil change and a new ignition switchrecently installed as the original keys weremisplaced during the time, he was ill. The car hasa new stock interior, top and a first-class paintjob. I have not been able to find any areas on thebody that show signs of rust at all. This is aboutas original an “A” as you are likely to find outsideof a museum piece. The car has NJ QQ tags and classic car insurance.
