Body- Car was stripped to bare metal 8 years ago. The previous owner replaced the some of the floors and inner fenders with hand fabricated parts. It is well done but obviously not original. At that time, it was also converted to a two-seater similar to 65-66 Shelby cars. The front frame rails and torque boxes have been welded up and strengthened as well, again it’s not pretty but has been rock solid for the entire time I owned the car. It could be returned to original by using a replacement floor pan, something obviously not available to the previous owner. It has a 68 Shelby style hood with scoops and vents. 67 Shelby rear deck lid (has a few paint cracks in this on top). Shelby side scoops top and bottom. Painted Ford tuxedo black (metalflake) base/clear coat. It has a few very small pops in the paint where the paint prep on the 15k paint job was less than steller. All lights were replaced with modern lighting when the car was painted. 300$ PIAA driving lights. Rear lights are now led’s that flash sequentially turn signals. Ford Shelby front spoiler, it’s cracked and tied together with tie wraps! This car attracts tons of attention wherever it goes but it is a driver, not a show car. Minor dent in pass front fender. a few small scratches and some paint chips on rear qtrs, I drive this car! It is rust free 100%

Drivetrain-

Engine- Ford Motorsports 427W short block. This short block is all forged crank, rods, pistons along with a HD 4 bolt main block, assembly is rated strong enough for 2500HP. Comp cams roller cam, ford racing hyd roller lifters. Comp pushrods, Edelbrock Victor jr heads with PAC springs and Scorpion roller rockers. Weiand dual plane intake with a 1200hp Holley Sniper fuel injection setup. Walbro 450lph pump in the new gas tank with return style fuel system, Aeromotive regulator and full braided lines front to back. MSD distributor and 6AL with MSD wires/ceramic plug boots. Moroso 7 QT road race oil pan with dual remote filters. Be Cool aluminum radiator with twin Mishimoto fans. Powermaster 160-amp alternator. Snow performance Methanol injection system (not currently used). TorqStorm billet supercharger running 6psi. JBA Ceramic coated shorty headers with JBA stainless H pipe dumping into PIPES glasspacks ending at the rear end with dumps. I do have mandrel bend full tailpipes that will come with it as the exhaust was something I had planned to make better next. This engine has about 7k miles so far, will start right up in 20-degree weather, idles at 600rpm warm, gets 20mpg on the freeway and makes 700 crank hp on 93 octane. Turn the meth system on and run the boost up to 10 psi with a pulley swap and get 800+ hp. The car is insanely fast as is, eats Hellcats and Z06's for lunch as long as you can drive a stick.. 10.70 qtr miles easy and could go faster with a drag race set up. I like it mellow as is, you can drive it anywhere and I have driven this car to over 15 states on 5 hot rod power tours.

Transmission- TKO600 five speed with billet shifter, McLeod clutch rated to 800hp (less than 100 miles from new), Ford Motorsports billet flywheel, Quick Time Racing Steel bellhousing. Mustangs Plus hydraulic clutch. DynoTech Chromoly driveshaft with HD u joints.

Rear end- New Ford 9” housing. 3.55 motorsports gears with a Detroit TruTrac differential. Moser 28 spline axles.

Suspension-

Front- 17x8 wheels with Falken Azenzis 666 245/40/17 tires (new). CPP upper and lower tubular control arms. Viking billet double adjustable coil over shocks with Eibach springs. SN95 Ford Cobra dual piston PBR aluminum calipers. ADDCO sway bar. CPP power steering system with Borgeson box (needs an alignment/adjustment but drives fine.

Rear- Two sets of leaf springs, currently CalTrac split mono leaf springs with a 1” lowering block. I also have a set of Mustangs Pls five leaf reverse eye springs that come with the car. Cal Tracs fully adjustable traction bars. Viking double adjustable billet shocks. Crown Victoria police car rear discs, no parking brake. ADDCO sway bar. 17x9 wheels with Falken Azenzis 666 tires 275/40/17 (new) All four tires have 25 miles on them.

Interior-

Corbeau racing bucket seats, black in color but sun faded. Full SFI rated 3” shoulder harnesses, drivers are current up to date. 6-point roll cage. Painless full body wiring harness was installed when painted. New carpet at that time, Custom console with cup holders. Dakota Digital full sweep gauges (speedo and fuel sender need calibration, I have the instructions). Boss audio head unit, 2- 6” kickers in front, 2- 6x9 Kicker’s rear, two Kicker L7 Subwoofers in the far back. 1-1000w and 1-800watt kicker amp in truck. Trunk mounted battery with remote shut off. Fiberglass one piece headliner. 3” more headroom than stock. Viper alarm system. Crappy Momo steering wheel. It has a Vintage Air heater core and evaporator under the dash but not hooked up.

That’s it. The bad- No parking brake. Rear tires can rub on big bumps. #ihatemichiganroads No neutral safety switch. Some gauges need calibration. Sniper head unit not mounted. All in all, this is a driver, A Hot rod and my vision of the Mustang I wish I had in high school, not a show car. It looks phenomenal and gets TONS of attention wherever we take it. It can autocross, drag race, open track days and drive it anywhere. It needs a mechanically inclined Ford oriented owner. It is turnkey reliable but it’s a 50+ year old car always in need of some kind of attention. I have driven this car to 15 states, tail of the dragon, five power tours and RoadKill street legal drags.

Why am I selling it?

I bought a 2017 Z06. As much as I love the Stang, I like the Vette better at 65 yrs old.
