1933 Ford Phaeton

1933 FORD V8 DELUXE PHAETON MODEL 40

This caroriginally came from California in 2013 and it was partially restored back inthe 80’s. Most of the paint is fresh. Dark maroon on the body with blackfenders and red pinstriping.

Consider partial trade for classic, collectible or muscle cars.

The long, sleek, dramatic lines thatflowed from the pens of Ford designers to create a look that rivaled the largermore expensive phaetons like Duesenberg, Cadillac, and Packard gave the phaetona truly glamorous look at a fraction of the cost.

The pristine 1933 grille, the windshield frame, headlights all have fresh chrome and polish. This is an older restoration that Iinvested 10 years, many upgrades and time into.

Mileage shown is what odometer reads. No idea what real mileage is.

It camewith the LaBaron Bonney leather interior shown. The front seat bottom wasdamaged, so it was replaced with close matching vinyl.

I haveover $50,000+ in this car and upgrades include…1940 hydraulic brakes, comeswith 2 sets of wheels (shown). The 16” black powder coated wire wheels (on car)with radial tires and the original 17” red painted wheels with the Firestonewide whitewalls (Picture).

It hasmodern tube shocks in the rear and the front spring has been lowered slightlyto give it the sleek raked look. Also, rear tires are larger than front tires, enhancing the rake. The radiator is pressurized, preventing overflow. It has anelectric fuel pump and still has the 6-volt system with generator. Engine isthe stock 221 Cubic Inch Henty Ford flathead that produces 75HP. Red pinstripingon bumpers vs original black.

The gastank is brand new with the spill proof neck. It has turn signals with a self-cancellingturn signal switch. The turn signals in front are hidden within the headlightsand the rear are incorporated in the brake lights.

It startsand runs excellent. It has the desirable Greyhound radiator cap. It has dualhorns. It has a chrome crank cover on the grille. The shifter and brake handleswere chromed. Dual wind deflectors.

Rare,with only 1,483 deluxe phaetons produced in1933.

Theengine could be detailed for better appearance, if wanted. This was designed tobe a driver, not a 100-point show queen. At some point the steering box should bereplaced. It is worn and I have it adjusted fully out, but the steering issomewhat hard. The LaBaron Bonney top has some flaws and staining and shouldeventually be replaced by a competent upholsterer.

Ifserious, you are welcome to fly into the Boise Airport and inspect and drivethis car, prior to payment and transport. Questions 208-345-1400.
