RARE 64 1/2 MODEL, NEW $14K PAINT JOB, SUPER NICE CAR, SLEEPER 6 CYL ENGINE!
1964 Ford Mustang
A 1964.5 Ford Mustang convertible for under $28K?! It might seem like there's a big catch to a great price on a true American icon, ut the more you read, he more you'll just see its an amazing deal on a nicely restored Mustang.Everyone clamors for an original factory-correct Wimbledon White first-year Mustang like this one. This was the color of the very first car because it just gave the early 1964.5 cars a regal appearance. On this convertible it looks particularly nice because there was $14K invested in making sure that its factory color was resprayed with the meticulous attention these early Mustangs deserve. Bad panels and uneven gap lines can't hide from white paint, o make sure to take notice in all the pictures of how well everything lines up on this pony car even the white convertible top is nice and straight. You might be wondering why an icon like this would wear aftermarket wheels, ut these are alloys from Boyd Coddington's shop, o that's a great way to have a connection to an industry legend. In total, his one is a true treasure to hold because its May 29, 964 production date means it was built within the first few months that the Mustang started production. The blue racing stripes on the car do a great job of matching the blue interior and tying the inside and outside of this convertible together. It all looks great thanks to a new carpets, oor panels, nd even new foam in the seats. The center console is a great place to rest your elbow when holding onto the three-speed automatic transmission's handle. The console's a more modern aftermarket piece that can be removed without a trace of it being there, ut we kinda like the idea of having cup holders. Everyone gets to enjoy the newer AM/FM/cassette stereo that fits cleanly into the original radio's knob-style opening. But as with most Mustangs, his is very driver-oriented with a sporty three-spoke steering wheel. Beyond that are a clear set of original gauges, ut this one has a small tachometer added onto the steering column and underneath the heat/defrost controls is a set of auxiliary gauges for oil, ater, nd battery. All this information leads you to believe there's something special under the hood.Your eyes are seeing the engine bay correctly. That is a 200 cubic-inch inline six motor, ut that's not the whole story. It was rebuilt 8,000 miles ago by Clifford Performance in California. They specialize in motors like this, nd so they added performance goodies such as a 3/4 racing camshaft, ored .60 kit, eaders, wo-barrel Holley carburetor, lectronic ignition, lectric fuel pump, nd port & polished head. Plus, here's an oversized aluminum radiator to keep the full system running cool. The rumble this one makes out of the dual exhaust is V8-worthy, nd this upgraded motor could teach a 289 a lesson on the streets (and has). So you see, hose racing stripes are earned on the outside of this car! This is an early build 1964.5 Mustang that comes with documents like its restoration photos an original owner's manual. It's a nice deal on an interestingly restored icon. Hurry up before someone else realizes how good this convertible is. Call today!!!
