I am listing this completely restored 1968 Mustang Coupe for a friend. In 2013, he owner had the Mustang completely restored by the good folks at Mustang Mania, LC. They are very well known among Mustang enthusiasts for their knowledge, ttention to detail and their first rate craftsmanship. The owner spared no expense. The owner doesn't have time to drive this cool Pony. They have decided to pass it on to someone who will enjoy and appreciate this quality restoration.
Here is a summary of the parts that were replaced, ebuilt and upgraded.
Engine Compartment:
The tired 289 was replaced with a 331CI Blue Print crate motor producing 330 HP. It was topped with a 670 Holley street avenger carburetor on a Edelbrock performer intake. New Try-Y headers where coupled to a complete new exhaust system. The system includes new H-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. Dual tips exit the exhaust for a little added attitude. A Petronics billet distributor and coil provide the fire for the very responsive motor. The new owner will not be disappointed with the performance. A new Vintage AC/Heat/defrost unit insures comfortable driving in any climates. The new power steering pump and assembly, ll new pulleys and belts also provide a responsive driving and handling experience.
Transmission and Drive line:
Completely rebuilt C4 transmission with a firm but none rigid shift kit. The tail shaft was questionable, o it was replaced and a new Hughes performance torque convertor was added to insure quality performance. To insure trouble free power transfer to the rear wheels, he entire rear differential was rebuilt with 3:40 gears. This included new Yukon axles, earings and seals along with new spring bushings and shackels.
Interior:
A new black Mustang seat cover package was installed with new carpet. New stereo system with CD, pod and phone inputs. New custom steering wheel with all new turn signal switches, orn hardware and wiring. Any faulty or questionable door or window hardware was replaced.
Exterior:
New red paint was sanded and buffed to a smooth glass finish. New black vinyl top enhances the beautiful Red paint. All exterior trim and bumpers are in very good condition. New BF Goodrich radial TA tires all around on new Mustang wheels.
Chassis:
All new front suspension. New Auto Tran power front Disc brake system, ll new brake lines, heel cylinders and shoes for the rear drums are there for your safety.
To eliminate potential fuel delivery problems, new fuel tank w/drain, ew fuel sender, ines and filler hoses was also added. New car cover included.
I have personally driven this car. It is top of the line in all areas.
