This appears to be a very solid example of a 1969 Mustang convertible. The car has history in New Mexico before going to a collector in Missouri. It is currently located in Kentucky. It has an older repaint in the original Winter Blue color which is a nice medium metallic blue. This is a nice old Mustang that has not been restored but has been selectively improved. I noticed that the horn and radio are not working. The car has not been driven regularly in some time. Please remember this is a 54-year old old car and you will need to be prepared to repair and maintain it as necessary.
The wheels and tires are new (17" diameter wheels). If the buyer prefers, I can re-install the original set of 15" Magnum-style wheels (only one set of wheels is included though).
The interior shows some wear and tear from age and use but overall is very presentable. The convertible top is operated manually.
The 302 V8 with two barrel carb runs well. It is a little cold natured which is pretty typical of carbureted vehicles. Some tuning of the carb and choke may improve driveability when the engine is cold (it currently doesn't want to idle until the engine warms up).
Originally a 4-speed manual, a brand new Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission has been installed with hydraulic clutch actuation. The overdrive 5th gear makes the car a lot more pleasant to drive on the highway and the hydraulic clutch operates much more smoothly than the old mechanical z-bar set up.
The title was marked "Not Actual Mileage" in New Mexico so the Kentucky title reads the same. It's impossible to know for sure why it was marked this way but it is possible that someone checked the wrong box when transferring the title. The boxes are confusing and it's relatively common for people to mark them incorrectly. Alternatively, perhaps the speedometer/odometer unit was replaced at some point. Whatever the true mileage is, the vehicle speaks for itself and the numerous photos tell the story of the cars condition.
