1951 Ford F Pickup Red 4WD Manual
1951 Ford F
Vehicle DetailsTHIS IS THE ONLY ONE! A 1951 Ford F3 with the Marmon-Harrington 4WD. Ford sent their trucks to this company to make them 4WD called AWD back then. Only these came with the 17" split rims. The 2WD versions had 16" wheels.
In the mid 1980's the previous owner of the truck did a frame off restoration of this truck using ONLY new, or NOS Ford parts to accomplish the restoration. His intent was a Concours level vehicle yet he elected to drive it. He was a Shriner heavily involved in Shrine Club parades. This truck would have fake prisoners chained to the back of it and the truck would do the parade in first gear. It was said he would have to speed up a bit as the prisoners would walk faster than the truck would idle in first gear.
This truck, since restoration, has always been garage kept. If there was a 100 point F3 out there, this would be the closest you could come. There was no expense spared in the restoration process. Sadly the owner had died of stomach cancer and the son knew few details of the restoration process as he'd had his own family by then and this was late in his father's life.
YES, the price is high, but when you have THE ONLY ONE it will be high. The truck is located a few miles north of Starke, FL and is available for inspection most any time.
